Default Daily driver survey

How many of you rely on the shark as your primary daily driver?

I do, correction, I will.

I do, however work is now only 12 miles away. I've switched jobs and had to give up the company car so the shark will get more miliage now..

I do, unless there is a forcast for snow, although it handles very well in the snow, I'm just scared to death of the "morons" on the road, if you know what I mean.

I did for 3 years. When I sold it, I got 100% of my money back. Try that with a Honda!

We have three cars, most of the time I am not sure which I will be driving until I am out the door and reaching for my keys. We are going to end up with two cars in the garage, and one in our VERY short driveway parked 2" from the currently swing open door. The car in the driveway is my old Mustang, so its going to be getting most of the errand duty. Assuming all checks out this week ok I will be driving my 83 from Socal to Las Vegas next month for about 550 miles round trip.

I am still pretty high on the new owner Porsche Parking Paranoia curve.

I alternate daily driving duties between the 5 speed 928 and the 931. On snow days I drive the wifes 4WD SUV.

usually I'll drive the 928 unless there is inclement weather in the forcast, then it's the Silverado. I never get to drive the wifes Lexus, unless I'm doing some sort of work on it.

2.5 yrs of daily commuting. 24 mile round trip-not much fun. Fifteen traffic lights each way!
unless there is snow or ice on the road.
Utilize full bra and mirror bras to help protect against the rock salt and crushed stone spread onto the roads.

Mine went into DD use on 9/28 of this year .

Of course, for the past week it's been out of commision, but I hope to have it back on the road by mid-week.

I have 4 that are 'rotated' '81, '86.5, '73 917, '87 944. At least 3 of the 4 are always running.

I used my GT as for a daily driver for 4+ years after I bought it in March, 2000. It had 64k one owner miles on it when I got it, and I put approx. another 75k on it in as a daily driver. I put more miles on it in a little over 3 years than had been put on it in the previous 10! Was a blast for a daily driver, but I kind of hated to put that kind of miles on it, but on the other hand, these cars are meant to be driven!!!

Since I have another vehicle as a daily driver now (Toyota Tundra), the GT is being used more as a weekend car or "date car" as my wife likes to call it
Also continues to see time as an auto-X and DE car

Under 2000 km a year... no time to play

Though I told my wife I will be going to SITM this year. Here's hoping I don't make myself a liar! I would also like to make it over to see Andrew and the MI boys one day.
