How did you bend the lexan? Or did you use Polycarbonate, which bends, and just REALLY screw them down?

Thats two who have tuned DTA computers on 928s. That may be the computer for the hardcore if they want support. This is an issue that has been growing for a long time.

Think you can bend the clear stuff with gentle heat application.
But that rear quarter window has some wicked 3D curves to it.

Ernest (NYC) Way to go JV. Can't wait to see the silver bullet in action.

Best to probably shoot for goals of Speed World challenge Touring at LRP.

56 was GT,and i dont think thats possible. these cars were running 2:14 at Road america. However, a better measure will be at a track where it can streach its legs, like Watkins Glen.

At road america, the true improvements will really be seen!! My bet, (prediction) if you drive it hard, 2:24-6. same as Andersons fand Fans cars before he added on the big change mods. those big tires should help a lot too!

what does CM and DC mean?

Not sure when he will hit the track next, clearly the intent is 2007 at some point.

He does have 305s on the front and said he will be working on the airbox.

CM is Chris Musante, a winning GT3 911 driver, owner of Musante Motorsports where David Lloyd is.
DC is David Chamberland, aka Worf

JV said he just used a bit of heat as he screwed the side windows in place. He started with flat pieces

So that's where the Embassy Suites (Frenzy Hotel) hair dryer went.

What Chris Musante calls his office. At speed at Watkins Glen during Zippo Vintage 2006.

Why only 6600? I see 7200 with no aparent problem.
Spoken like the true founder of the Shift at "P" club.

Got it . thanks!

GT3, even S, is a hard group to compete with . You know Masuro and Boss is GT3 out here in PRC usually, and runs with us in PCA when they come to town. they both run 1:42 at Sears, 1:34s at laguna and i think he was low 2:20s at Road america. the problem with compariting to the GT3 guys, is that they can be 2000lb car weight!! thats HUGE. thats also the reason for the 56s at LRP. by the way, was that 56 at LRP on DOTs (GT3s)? if so thats really cook'in. anyway, top Gt3 guys will be as fast as anderson, but never go head to head as they are in the "slow" group! (what a joke! PCA, do you hear me!!!!???) And the ole 928 has to run in GT2, just because it has a bigger engine than the 911. dont get me started!!!!!!

correction, GT3 runs in the PCA group with GT2. (fast group) even faster than Boss in GT4 (what i was thinking of) who run near as fast as anderson! Super light. GT3 is the same deal, but larger engines!!!
so, i think that would be a VERY lofty goal to run as fast as top GT3. they are almost as fast as top GT2 at most races. 2:02 at Wakins Glen is REALLY fast. faster than most of the cup cars and some RsRs!!! at that level, its not a HP game anymore, its reallly a tunning and $$$ money game. Anderson now has the big hp, his platform has evolved and he has a ton of battle experience.

Ok, last question about the windows... what thickness did you use? 1/8"? 3/16" for rear? Not sure how lexan fares on the thickness/strength/weight comparison.

Think the Lexan is 1/8", but I'll check tonight.
As Stan stated. I used a bit of heat while screwing it down and pushing it out so it has a small bulge, but not as big as the stock glass.
Need to do the windshield soon since it's still glass and very worn.

John, are engine build specs something you want to share or would you rather keep that kind of stuff under wraps?

The only thing "under wraps" is the cams.
The specs are standard stroker stuff using Ott Enginnering TB setup and a DTAPRO8 to control everything.
968 pistons
5.85 Olivier custom rods
Scat 95.25mm stroker crank

OK, I'm building a 7 liter engine and have noticed a wall of secrecy among others in the 928 community that have serious engine projects. I certainly respect everyone's decision to keep their project details to themselves. I do miss open sharing though, in the Cobra community I had folks from all over the world ask about my engine and it was enjoyable sharing my secrets with them. As I finish my 928 engine project it will be a pleasure to share details with anyone else that's entertaining the idea of building one themselves, aside from the pleasure of commorodity, I know what it's like to ask someone about their project and be blown off or ignored. Thank you for sharing what you have, you have a very nice car indeed.
