Default 2012 Porsche 928

Anyone read about the new 928? I think it looks cool. What do you all think?

Check it out HERE

**I posted this on the 996 forum, then realized I should have done it here!

Nice..but for now ill keep mine.

However... when my son is older perhaps he can buy a 20 year old "new" 928 and i will still have mine..and still be able to smoke his butt.

what i dont get is why 2012?
heck that is still over 5yrs away!
aston...jag...ferarri etc are way ahead of them in the 2 door GT market?
Ya see..they should have kept the original 928 blood line going!

The body will be made in Volkswagen's Hannover plant, and then shipped to Leipzeig.

I like it......more from the rear than the front......so if I start saving now......I still won't be able to afford one in 2012 :>(

The massive "grill opening" is unfortunately just for styling and frankly looks very much like an add on to make it look racy or was that ricey. Plus you have to wonder how many other cars will share that chassis basic body shell.

Seems like every couple weeks someone starts a thread about the 'new' 928, when in fact it's all speculation. There hasn't been any announcement from Porsche, the pictures are all photoshopped - heck, we don't even know what the Panamera is going to look like.

Well, first, my apologies for the repost.
The Panamera has been spied testing on tracks, and it is not speculation.
Neither is the 928 a speculation.

I never said the Panamera is speculation. I read the press release when Porsche announced it. Can you show me anywhere that Porsche acknowledges the 'new 928' is going to happen?

BTW - I've been known for the occasional repost myself.

I wouldn't be surprised myself, but for some time there have been claims that a Boxster Turbo would be produced - and I haven't seen one yet!
