Wow 5-6 years before they build it 15-20 years for it to depreciate to the point that I can afford one .... that makes me 80-85 years old ....I am SO EXCITED ! Beside with inflation and the likely devaluation of the dollar a $100,000 base price is highly optomistic. Porsche takes GREAT pride in being the MOST profitable auto maker on a per unit basis as well as determining the annual bonus for the upper management group based on profit ...

Could this news generate interest in the former 928 models? From the horsepower outputs qouted they are not that much more powerful than the original except for the TT and V10 models.

Let's see, get a nice 928, do a stroker or forced induction upgrade, repaint, Champagne interior upgrades, wheels, suspension, computer refurbishment, my clamp for the autos ( ), some TLC and you will still be over 50K+ ahead. Let alone the fact these cars will run right up there with the new models all day long and IMHO look just as good, if not better!

Impressive! When I look at it from the license plate, up - I see a hood/fender shape similar to our S4's. They should copy the S4 nose design maybe with updated headlights. At least get rid of the two big side grill openings (brake / transmission cooling?)

Lots of VW under that baby too, the comments I read from Porsche are that the chassis will be sourced from their major investment. But, it looks great, and I'm sure will be an awesome car.

Yeah, mine cause she is a full-time stay at home mom by choice.
All you have to do is work harder and smarter togather and world domination is possible.

if they really wanna be cool - it'd be electric....

Get rid of those awful, inconsistent, ugly, absurd round lights in the side grilles ala Cayman. I don't like them on the Cayman, and I like them even less on this "Thing". Ever since the 996 Turbo, I have thought the nose of the new generation P cars had the elegance of a wrecked Peterbuilt. " Barf " is too nice a word to express how unsubtle their aesthetic vocabulary has become. I like my 928 more, thank you. However, there are always those buyers who will adopt anything "current" to be certain they are "in" and trendy, no matter how grossly overstated, perverse and baroque it is. They will exclaim "Wow!" and ""Fantastic" and other attempts at expressing enthusiasm rather than standing back and objevtively evaluating this form and the function it should express, in an effort to avoid being thought of as un-hip. I am not one of them. Excuse me while I find a toilet to relieve my nausea. Porsche can and has done better than this thing.

Um, I hate to spoil this, but from the fenders back I'm pretty sure that's a picture of an Aston Martin.
