Is it going to be available in other materials too?

Hi Charley:

The script lettering is available as 9, 2, 8, S, 4, G, T, and 6 - which covers pretty much all 928 models ever made. The center piece of the stainless kit can hold up to 7 such letters. I stock the letters in black, but we can order them in a variety of oterh colors and materials, including red, blue, green, yellow, white, pewter metallic, steel flex, bronze flex, ... We can even match them to your wood interior! Or you can paint them in the color of your car.

Hi Casey:

These door sill covers are only available in stainless. What other material did you have in mind?

I wanted to get the brushed aluminum door sill lettering, but I thought it might look even better with the other pieces in brushed aluminum to go along with it. So the center piece wouldn't be needed.

P.S. 1985 console inserts are in the mail right now, so I should be able to get the aluminum package soon.

Initially I had the aluminum letters, which do look great - no doubt. When I did my test installation of the stainless pieces, I did the outer pieces first, and left he aluminum 928 in place, just to see what it looks like. Since the aluminum is so much brighter, it really stood out - but in some cases that could be a desired effect. I attach a picture below.

My thought was to make some matching 928 lettering in stainless, but I found out that would be prohibitively expensive. So I favor the options shown in the pictures above, or a combination with contrasting 928 letters.

So you don't plan to have these available in brushed aluminum at any time?

I'd have to get a batch of them made, not just one set. If there is enough interest, I will certainly explore that route.

This looks very nice, borland! The combination with the synthetic chrome is surprisingly close in color, so here is another possibility on how to customize the look with these stainless pieces.

Another option would be steel flex, which is a synthetic stainless material that even has the matching stainless structure to it.
