Hooked On Cars Presents at Sharktoberfest: Stainless Door Sill Kits
Well, big shows are a great time for product launches. This year, Hooked On Cars presents an exclusive enhancement for your 928: A stainless steel door sill kit.
It consists of 6 laser cut pieces. The outer ones fit in the recessed areas before and after the clear "928" letters, and another piece to cover those letters. This gives you the creative freedom to add your own lettering, decal, or whatever you please.
My favorite for the center piece is the Porsche script lettering, which is shown below in black. Hoewever, we can oder it in all kinds of colors and materials.
Alternatively, you can only use the four large outer pieces, and combine them with colored 928 lettering in the shape of the clear letters, install illumination of the existing clear letters, or slide the center piece underneath the clear letters.
Lots of ways to match this for your individual taste.

Although my intent is to keep my car pretty much stock 
, these are tempting. If one were to put these on for a few years, and decided to remove, what are the odds of removing them with no peripheral damage to the original sills?

I just got done cleaning my 928's interior- I bought a product known as "saddle soap" at a leather goods shop here in Ft.Lauderdale today; to say that this is an amazing product is an understatement! I've finally achieved a state of "clean" with my champagne leather today.
-My carpets? Another story. New in 2001, they are now slightly faded, and the texture of the carpet is different: I used Scotchguard cleaner on the carpets near the parking brake lever [as you showed in your picture] and the texture makes them look like they were used in a kindergarten- they are "foamed" together, almost like the "dread-locks" that some Jamaican's do their hair up in!
Now, realize that I'm real **** about my car, and I'm making it sound WAY worse than it is...but Nicole- how the hell do you keep your car so squeaky clean! I know you don't drive it every day like I do mine...but you've got some sort of secret to keep the silver sliver knit clean.....
I love the sill plates, by the way. My current plastic plates match my interior too well already.

Bill Swift installed a kit on Saturday, and slid the middle stainless piece under the clear 928 letters. That\'s another variation I had not thought about - but looked great! Pictures will follow after I return to the Hooked On Cars headquarters...

Here you can see the stainless sill kit on Bill Swift's all black car. He decided to slide the center stainless piece under the 928 lettering to preserve the letters but give them more contrast.

I am quite pleased with the way these turned out on my car & they are not that hard to install. It just requires a bit of patience to "mold" the two outer pieces to the curve of the sill. As many of you may know, that "928" lettering just disappears on the darker colored cars & I figured it might be worth a try to slide the middle piece underneath, as opposed to just covering the #'s with it. Nicole's method looks great too as anyone who saw it in person can attest to.

Having seen these at Sharktoberfest, they look much more impressive than the pictures. Very sharp Nicole. Do you have 'GTS' available in the same script as 928?
