It was glorious day for a ride. We had 15 928s, the most for any funride. Of course, RS Racing Developments was a key attraction. Ken Adolf, Phil Threshie and Star gave us a in-depth tour of the facilities and all of their expert engine building and fabrication services. Very nicely done. What a place! We all want to move in next door.

Someone else will have to report on the funride. Unfortunately, I had to run off before we got to funride route due to obligations at home. The weather was glorious and I trust the ride was as well. Sorry I could not stay longer.

We will do it again.

It was great seeing old 928 friends and making new ones... It was very interesting looking at all the neat stuff Ken, Phil & Star are working on. I had the impression that we would be done with the drive in time for lunch and that I had a shot at gettng home by 3-ish afterwards. When I found out otherwise I had to bail out with Bill. Looking forward to the next GTG...

Where is Star to tell us about how to let the butt all hang out
This is a great story when both parties in the car tell it!

Ah, so there was some excitement on the funride? Wish I could have been there.

Anders - Yes, an Ultima. I was impressed.

We definitely miss you a lot, too.

Hey Bill,

Too bad you could not join us, it was a great route and as we made the left turn towards Berryessa a Ferrari appeared in our pack right behind the lead car, we took a long up hill grade at 1mph “yes not a typo” a few of us had a nice bottom out in one big sweeper and for a second there I thought I saw a 928 misbehaving badly! When I looked back all was well and in the end it was just another good story to tell over a nice meal. I had a great time, looking forward to the next drive….

Hey Anders,

Here are a few more of the Ultima....

Nice shots, Dave.

Matt: "we took a long up hill grade at 1mph" Huh?

What's the story of the black 928 with the red interior and all those widgets installed?

Hey Bill,

We came up on a Big Rig fully loaded heading up one of the tight twisty grades… We slowly followed along till he found a turn out and kindly let us pass, it was as slow as you could drive a 5 speed without working the pedals

Matt, glad I missed that part... I can't afford to chew any more stitching out of my steering wheel!

It was a chance to let your oil cool! Most of the ride, I never got above 3rd gear and 4500 rpm or 2nd gear and 5500 rpms on the really twisty stuff. There were some straights where I made it to topgear. Also I think I hit the brakes maybe a dozen times (most not needed) because we are in a pack.

Cheers,
