Yeah, Brian, follow me. The only problem is my car tends to throw up bits of tire whenever I blip the throttle.

figured I'd just park in the back and nobody would notice... now I'm shamed into at least doing a wash and wax, a sure fire precursor to rain most of the time, so I'll wait till the last minute in hopes of beating the ineveitable rain cloud.... hmmmm, maybe I should just spill a tad of german beer on it as an offering when I'm done....

drive safe!!!

3. Skip washing the car until I get to LA
4. Bring more rear tires

Boo hooo, we'll miss y'all this year... we'll be in Tejas...
driving a mid-size, wimpy rent-a-dent ...
maybe we can hoist a Lone Star for the sharks.

G'luck all.

My plan for sharktoberfest was
1: change spindles, upgrade brakes
2: replace tierods if required
3: finish body work
4: paint
5: polish new rims
6: install new tires and align

But..it is turning out to be
1: wash car (optional)
2: go

This it pretty much the only time of year I get much done on the car, but I think I just started too late this year.

Too funny!

Mine was like this:
1. pull calipers and paint
2. pull crossmember and replace MM's and streering rack bushings
3 install bilstein/eibachs in front
4 change gear oil
5 change engine oil
6 reset ride height
7 get alignment
8 go to sharktoberfest

I got to #1 and found my rotors sucked, spent alignment monies on new rotors, so I'm skipping #2&3&6&7....

I had some big plans too! I'm glad I'm not the only one...

1. get rebuilt motor in
2. detail rest of engine bay
3. install new koni/hypercoils
4. install new cross drilled rotors and pads front and rear
5. paint calipers
6. paint and install aero mirrors
7. R&R, prep, paint and install rear wing
8. install DR front swaybar and bushings
9. install rear adjustable drop links
10. clean, wash, polish, wax, condition inside and out
11. roadtrip to Sharktoberfest

Well, maybe a little ambitious, but always the optimist...
Looks like I may just be able to do 1 and 11 while trying to squeeze as much of 10 in there as I can. Here are some photos of 1 taken just this morning, getting closer...

Rick,
I saw your car at Exotic last Friday - I have to say its a real dissapointment that the engine looked much better out of the car!!

Now its in you can't see as much of it - shame (and that was with the intakes off).

As for the rest of your list - come on get with the program! - you've got days yet!

I have my own list that isn't getting much progress either - mostly getting the new audio system completed - although my real list is much longer that and a little cleaning is all I'm likely to get done in time... maybe

Anyway I'll see you bright and early on Friday - But in the GT please!

Over the entire weekend, I managed to wash, polish, and wax, and install the lock overlays. I did not do any of the other dozen things on the to-do list, including vacuuming out the playground sand that my 3 year old dumped out of his shoe after picking him up from daycare on Thursday I won't be opening the hood during SF06 if I can help it.......

indeed!! my only concern is that I'll get too many new ideas that'll **** off the wife again.... course, if I didn't get them from sharktoberfest, god only knows where I'd get them.... I should tell her how lucky she is that I'm going there and not an adult film convention in vegas, hehehe....

is there going to be a 928 swap meet there too?? if so, I've got a new 16" s-blade fan that'd make a perfect replacement for a mechanical fan, complete rear seats, and a "spare" 928 battery I'd love to get out of my garage/give to anyone that needs them before I justify needing another shark for the parts

Alan, I'm really looking forward to a roadtrip in my "new" car! See you Friday.

Rob, Thanks, your motor was part of my inspiration!
