Hard to say from the pics. The tell-tale givaways are uneven gaps on the doors and other body panels. Even then it's possible to "adjust" the panels somewhat to compensate for poor fitment.

you cant really tell, and if your po is the guy who sold it on ebay, hes not too smart. he wrote he took out the interior and then realized he couldnt afford it? is that when he noticed the frame damage? or was it when he tried to fit a 2 foot subwoofer in there?

That 2nd to last pic would have had me sniffing around underneath. The radiator doesn't sit right -- DS is too high. Why is that? It's a junkyard radiator, could be it's not seated properly on the bottom bumper, but better look anyway. Engine sits low on DS. Why? The rub marks where the paint is showing on the PS fender made me scroll back up to look at how the hood & fender meet in that area. Looks like some waves in the fender-the reflection of the eaves ought to curve smoothly. I'd want to look for crinkled paint around where the crossbar mounts too. I look again, and notice the fan has been pushed into the condensor, and the top strip has popped off the condensor. At this point I'd want it on a lift to look for evidence of important stuff being bent. If the motor mounts & crossmember looked straight, I'd still check for signs they were swapped. If they were all good I'd still be scratching my head about the engine sitting crooked. Maybe have a look at the rear; trans mounts have less compliance, maybe I'd find something funny there. etc. etc.

good points but I did not notice them myself. Anyway the engine bay is so crappy I did not look too closely; more fool me were I the buyer...

Dave has sharp eyes! I don't see anything that wrong. So, it will be pulled out tomorrow, right?

You must focus, Grasshopper ... ****** the pebble from my hand, and you will be ready....

Maybe it's just a sign that I've been staring at too many sharks....

You can ride shotgun with me anytime! Your eyeball is un real, super hero like. All the things you mentioned are things the body shop pointed out when they called me to tgive me the damage report. The paint rub thing is nothing but you are 100% on about the rest.

Well, too bad I didn't have a chance to spot it before you got into this mess. Oh well. Anyway, thanks for the gut-check on my assessment, and best of luck with the next step!

BTW, I might have had a bit of an unfair advantage -- after all I already knew it was bent. But I tried to forget that and be as objective as possible.
