Cobalt -thanks for checking out my car.
The last dyno is in my sig - 543/571.
Those are wheel numbes - my crank numbers are about 640 hp and 675 torque.

I have just recieved the latest Vitesse turbo which will put me over 600 AT THE WHEELS - about 750 crank.

Also - you're confused a little by the dyno - the runs were initiated at 3000 RPM, my car makes a lot more power down low, believe me.

The 997 turbo was not really close - he was left many bus lengths behind me on his 3rd try. The Kleeman amg was the quikest car I have messed with, and i walked him - still fairly hard. But this is to be expected from a car with ALMOST as much power as mine, yet that weighs 1,600 pounds more......

And I am not saying I can walk ANY 928, EITHER!!!!
Ott's car might get me with my current turbo......maybe....

But I bet I can eat a lot more krout than he can.

Well power to weight is critical.

Why may I ask was the dyno run initiated at 3000 rpm? How do you maintain traction with all that power. I found my friends car very hard to control traction with and in a 911 you have an advantage with all the weight over the rear wheels. His is a 930 so it weighs a bit less around 2700 pounds. I believe a freind of mine is having his 94 turbo converted to EFI by the same shop you used for the dyno pulls. He has invited me up there to have them put my car on their dyno. I would be interested in seeing your car if I can arrange the dyno time. I find it very hard to focus during acceleration in my turbo and it is only an 11.8 second 1/4 mile car yours would have to be almost uncontrolable, just point and shoot.

Whaaaaaat...really????? Hmmmmmm, I am quite sure I will be hearing about this from the man himself......

Anyway, no 930 still on cis is anywhere my 951's power - even Kaspar will concur...

On full boost I have no traction with street tires. But this helps my driveline longevity....

Also I will be happy to have someone to witness my 600 RWHP dyno with my new turbo. Can you guys wait a few weeks????

You must have missed my earlier post. His car has a 3.6 liter 94 engine that has been converted to EFI Twin turbo. I agree no CIS 911 can reach those hp numbers.

If I can break free from work to make it up there it would be late October.

I've owned a 1986.5 928S and now the 87 951.

I have to say the 928 was more suited for daily driving but did not fully compare to the 951; when I bought the 951 it was pretty close to stock.

BUT, the biggest factor for a 951 or any turbo car, especially now a days, is the ease and low cost for MAJOR increases in performance. Something the 928 will never be akin too.

Prove it. Sounds like B.S. to me. Not saying it can't happen but making a statement like that is pointless and inflamatory at best. What if I said that my 479 hp 968 Turbo would walk circles around this car and make it look like a moving pylon. How would you know? Do you know how my car performs on a track like Road America? Do you know what kinds of lap times it will produce? No. So why even bring up garbage like that?

Really.

Who do we blame for starting this train-wreck of a thread?

I've not seen anything constructive come of this, so I'm closin' it.
