Unicorn wheel. Look very, very carefully. First person to spot why (posted with a new 928-related picture) wins the Official random 928 Picture Thread (post a new 928 pic or stay out) thread for the day.

I guess it wasn't that hard of a question.

The 8X16 without RDK are the rarer, in fact.
Front and rear with RDK were used on 1989 CS and RoW 1989 GT.
9X16 without RDK were also used on 944 Turbo S and 1989 944 Turbo.

106F in Houston! Makes working on the car a scorcher.

So, do we know "in fact" how many CS wheel sets with RDK were delivered? Has anyone done the DB search? As far as I know it was an *option* only in '89. CS Wheels, on 928s at least, "stopped" at the end of MY'89 and weren't available in '88 except for CS/SE. So we're talking about 928 CS Wheels in '89 only that were optioned with RDK.

I can say for certain that in N.A. I've never seen or heard about an '89 of any sort delivered with RDK. Maybe all RoW '89 GTs were optioned with RDK. But, in N.A. it's still uber-rare.

As for 944 wheels? I'm not interested in them as the 8x16 et60 is unique to the 928. I am in possession of 6 of those right now . If anyone is seriously interested in up to four (non-RDK) of them let me know (but, I'd prefer to sell them as a set of 4.)

But, it would still be interesting to know how many cars were optioned with CS RDK wheels.

So- In 1989 Rest of World market, there were 7 Clubsports and 358 '89 GTs. 364 of these 365 cars had the option code I393 for the Clubsport wheels. I assume they're all fitted with RDK. (There's one German market '89 GT that doesn't have the option code, not sure if that was an omission or intentional)

EDIT: Add a photo, dammit!
