Default 11.187sec @ 102.430mph NA 928!! whoo hoo!

just got back from run what ya brung at LACR tonight, 11.187@102.430!!! guess the custom LSD and new meat/trans tuning really helped!! wow!

not sure what the 928 record is, but this is a personal best for the old gal for sure! whoo hoo!!

60' was 2.026! 1/8th was 82.639@11.172!

conditions were great even for 2700' MSL handicap - cool air, warm track/night run... not sure what the "adjusted" numbers are yet, but raw was hummin!!

me go drink now

ps yes, I've got the slip scanned, but it's too big to upload, so I'll put it on my page later... maybe nos isn't so "necessary" after all.. tonight anyway.

sweet....

seems like a great time

I would have expected a faster speed for such a short time based on other times I have heard of...

God job...

Ummm. looks like Rob was overcome with elation while typing
102mph would be more like 14.187 , I've seen several 928's run a little over 14 with mph in the 100-102 range
Come on Rob, get that time slip resized & posted !

Okay, I'm assuming that you did 11.187 in the quarter mile which is SMOKIN' FAST!

An 11.187 quarter should have a trap speed around 130-ish, not 102 mph.

Please re-size and post that time-slip!

Congrats on the assumed 11.187 quarter mile time!

me go drink now

more like low 120's
I crew on a stockish '66 Chevelle which must weigh similar to a 928 (3600 lb )& it runs 11.00 at 123mph

Okay, I was speculating on the trap and apparently I was off.

Okay, how 'bout mid 120's?

Hmm, again, the C6 Z06 weighs 3100 lbs versus as you pointed out, the 928 weighs in at 3600 lbs, so, I will agree with you. Good call!

maybe a rabbit or small animal jumped out in front of the light?? I'll put it up in a few... just gotta get the crayons out again... just kidding.

http://www.myinfoware.com/images/11129slip.JPG is the link. it's too big to fit on rennlist, and the quality goes down to crap if it's any smaller...

I left a message w/the operators at LACR to see what they think.... it does seem a bit odd... I guess if it's goofy, I can get a free admission/save $20 so I can do another $1k in damage "having fun"... ha!

does seem a bit out of line w/the rest of the runs during the daytime. they were 13.4xx /102.97x mph (all times/speeds uncorrected) . but that was w/out any power braking/heavy burnout/tirewarm ups and experimenting w/progressivly more aggressive launches w/much warmer temps... later it dropped about 10/12 deg F and everyone seemed to start going quicker, although it was a pretty good jump down to 11.187 from 13's...

anyone ever see a system screw up like that before??? nobody else had anything go weird... only thing I can think is either:
1) something else tripped the lights/computer fart just for me.
2) my spedo was just over 112/115 mph or so when I shut down fast to make the 1st exit turn - it's possible (I suppose) that I shut down prematurely as the end of the strip isn't marked worth a damn as I did that once before the 1st time I was there.
