Prolly blowed up. 16Vs aren't meant to make 400rwhp.

The 81 is in the garage half way through a detailing project. My father had two projects that leap frogged in front of mine so I'm a bit behind schedule for 08.

The next phase is dumping L-Jet & the ignition system on this car in favor of LH / EZF from a EuroS. I have all the parts and pieces for the swap, just need the time to install and tune.

I also have a 4.7 liter US lower ready for a Euro top end with 78-79 cams. Once that motor is ready to be installed, we are going to have a fun day on the dyno saying good buy to this motor

Not really, working on other projects like my 944S motor. I should really sell a car or two.

Not really, I'm stalled until the crank trigger is added along with the timing ring to the flywheel. So other projects have moved up the list since there hasn't been time to accomplish this.
Thanks to Porken I have the harness for this project.

The 81 is still running, not driving it much in favor of the replica cobra.

Hey Hacker,
I saw a pic of your cobra over on a meguiars forum. Very sweet ride. I actually was googling touchup paint for my 81 mocca braun and it was one of the top hits. Both rides are awesome!

Too funny, small world.

I'm trying to salvage the paint on the 81, so far so good except for a bad case of lacquer separation on one fender and part of the door. Only way to fix is a strip / respray.

It died a graceful death. The car lives on, however.

Guys the good news is that Erik has actually found the car again, so that part of the battle is over.
