Seals sometimes just wake up one day and say, "This is a good day to die".

As for the power loss, could be a number of factors. Maybe the oil is buggering up your plug wires. Maybe with all that oil, a marginally-tight TB could have skipped a tooth or two. Also, if pressure to the lifters is reduced, you might not be getting full valve lift on that bank, though AFAIK even bottomed lifters will only affect lift by maybe 10-20% tops.

I've had a right cam (Passenger side) break. Symptoms include a loss of oil, very rough running engine, wobbly cam gear.

Another weird thing is that the engine doesn't really seem to run rough. Just get to about 4 grand, and there is absoutely no power.

How do I check which seal it really is? Maybe stick a drill on the oil pump, and see where it leaks from?

You'd have to pull the TB to do that. Simple Green, a brush, and a hose. They're your friends.

If it does turn out to be a passenger cam after all, let me know as I am pretty sure I have and extra one floating around (If I have not already tossed it). When I replaced my drivers side I had to buy a pair.
