JIm insightful I just found out that my flappy valve vacuum source holds no vacuum I am now tracing it.....

do i need a vacum reservior?

The flappy vacuum source is the 4-way up near the brake booster. The vacuum reservoir is for the cruise control and is another arm off the 4-way that goes towards the fender. So, you need to check that that is holding vacuum. If your cruise works, then it is OK.

Have you checked the blue/black check valve that is near the 4-way? Here's picture of my 4-way.

yes cruise works that rules out res. I am thinking must be a/c related so the easy check would be to block off the a/c line and see if she will work then..correct?

Each line off the 4-way should hold vacuum. So, sure, pull the AC and test with a MitiVac. Test all of the lines. Test the check valve to. It should be easy to blow one way, but not the other.
