Who can repair CD 2?
Does anyone know anyone who can replace the laser head (not sure of correct name) is a factory CD 2 CD player. My CD player hasn't worked for a few years now (low on my to do list), and I'd like to get it repaired. Everything in the stereo head works fine, but it won't play CD's, so I think the laser is bad. Also, is this repair worth doing. I like the stock look of the CD 2 and it sounds O.K. to me. If repairing the CD 2 doesn't make economic sense, can you recommend a good "plug and play" replacement. I'm not interested in a big wiring project as my car has never experienced any electrical gremlins and I'd like to keep it that way. Thanks.

go get a Nakamichi CD300 or CD500, it looks stock and you get MP3, AUX IN, and RDBS... CD300 are around 300$, 500 are about $500. Get them from outside the US so you get the 1MHZ increments instead of the FCC odd jumps
