Default Torque Tube Replacement Date is 4/15 edco's 91S4 Update - TT Removed Photos Added

Hey guys,

I spoke with Bill tonight and we're going to do my torque tube next Saturday on the 8th The TT has arrived and the torque converter bearing & fit washers are due tomorrow. After that were looking for the circlip and bushing to ship the first part of the week.

Today I pulled the exhaust and all the heat shields, I can see the TT If you want to stop by and say hey, you're most welcome! not much room under the car or in my garage but I’ll have a cold soda or a beer for you. So if you want to meet me, talk with Bill or just say, man oh man I’m glad it’s not my car this happened too drop over and say hello.

PM me for time and directions.

Im located in Castro Valley, CA 94546

Hopefully I'll have my wheels back by then. That would give me an opportunity to "show off"...

Hmmm... seems you all are out of luck... my family thing cancelled due to a neice needing surgery. I'd love to come, since I know I will be doing this job one day soon... PM sent.

Hey Dave,

Cool! Love to have you stop by and help

Don't worry Brian I'm sure this won’t be the last event in my driveway

We have almost all the parts; Jim @ 928International gives us the go ahead We're missing the circlip and bushing “On Order from Germany" but looks like we can get the bad TT out and get the new one all in place waiting on the parts. Directions have been PM'ed your way. I'm looking forward to meeting you...

I have a good selection of tools here in my shop, but if there is anything specific you think we might need please bring it along, I’m anxious to get the 928 back on the road

I'm ready. I trust we will not need it, but I'm going to borrow my neighbor's motorcycle jack.

Start time? 9:30am?

Matt, not having done this job before I'm guessing on these, but in addition to a regular set of sockets, wrenches, etc. we may need a few "BF" series tools... BFH, BF Prybar, BF breaker bar.... maybe some universal sockets...

There's something to be said for population density! It allows for a relatively local club, for one thing.
