Cup-IIs are the next-best in my opinion, but only available in 17" (except for Mille Miglia with marginal offsets) and not quite wide enough for our GT.

In the meantime we stumbled across these RUF speedlines, 8.5 x 18 ET61 fronts and 9.5 x 18 ET48 rears. They were back with red rims, now refinished... I am really liking these.

Default 996 AVUS 18s re-barreled for 928

Trying something different... Picked up some slightly damaged 996 3 piece 18s for a song. Powder coated, new barrels, swapped front/rear centers and ended up with perfect 928 offsets. Tires being installed today.

AVUS 18" offset change rebarrel

AVUS 18" 996 3 piece wheels rebuilt for 928

Where did you get the bolt hardware, I am in need of replacing my 2-piece bolts and I am having trouble souring bolts.

Wheel Flip has the best availability and prices. Here is their hardware:http://shop.wheelflip.com/collections/wheel-hardware
Ebay can be a good place to look for rare or specialty stuff.
Good information, wheels and wheel part classifieds at: http://www.stanceworks.com/forums/

Default Finally put new shoes on.

New shoes are on and fit is excellent. Rides nice too, just not sure I'm liking them better than the old school FM 10s. Going to modify the Avus center caps with a Porsche crest.

Thats GENIUS! I need to try that with the GFG 3 piece 19" rims that I bought for my '84. The rear offset is just a bit too much so I was afraid I was going to have sell them. I definitely shall have to try this out first...

Those look good Wild Bill. Me likes. With center caps they should look perfect.

Uneek, those are definitely nice wheels. Hope you can get it figured out.

This thread needs more phone dial

I bought a parts car 90% for those. Wish mine were done. (Bead blasting them this weekend.) They have the most organic look and flow with the body shape. Everything else looks like a fourth corner on a circle.

I looked at the LeMans but couldn't find offsets, what are they up front?
