yet another one bashing the 928...

Brendan, I think Jim R has more HP than Gretch, but I could be wrong. How about Big Bird vs a 951?
Head to one of the coasts, you'll see more. Look at some SpeedGT races from last year and you could see Mark Anderson, Mark Kibort, and maybe Joe Fan (?) mixing it up with the factory teams. There are several that run in the northeast and a few in Virginia. Those are just the dedicated track cars, not street/track. You have to remember that there are a hell of a lot more 944s out there, so you're bound to see a lot more on the track.

Ask some of the 911 track guys who have been steamrolled by a run of the mill 951, they usually aren't happy about it. Ask, at the same time, how many times they've been passed by a 928...

I agree that there are a lot of 944's available, but with the price point on 928's being what it is, I would think that if the power potential was that easy in a 928, you'd still see a lot more of them than you do on the track.
I'm aware of Marc and whatnot, trust me, I am a fan of 928's. It would just be nice to see more of it, ya know?

"We'd be a lot better off fighting the vette's, vipers and stangs than we would be by dividing our own house."
Scott,
I've always thought this way myself, especially about dividing our own house. I've been exposed to the trash talk too. It seems to me, to just be a lot of testosterone, ego, arrogance, insecurity, or whatever it's called. LOTS of pretty cars out there! MANY more ghastly ones though!
I like a lot of different models, other brands as well. I am glad I have Rosy, and the 356A too. I doubt I'll ever be able to afford a Slant Nose. The early Targa, with the brushed stainless band (?), instead of the later flat black band, is another I liked, but as the early 911's seem to rot too quickly, I doubt I could ever find one in reasonable shape, that would be affordable. Cost is now a large factor, for me. I'm happy where I'm at, but the bike stable needs to dwindle by half, or more!
But, I'm already being accused of having too many cars ( as well as acknowledging that I have WAY too many bikes ), so, adding more to the stable isn't likely....

Ok so wich one is your real RWHP, 395 or 533? It's not realistic to say that your car makes 533 when this only happens on the dyno and nowhere else! Don't get me wrong, 395rwhp is VERY respectable for a 951.

Imooo - the car makes 533+ RWHP with race fuel. - (probably closer to 575 with new cam)
395 RWHP is the current max with pump fuel.
Forced induction and race engines are measured on race fuel for max output. Elementary stuff.
