Thumbs down screwed by a trooper

Smoothly cruising down I75 I noticed a hectic State Trooper rushing up to me. Once he caught up he got about two inches to my rear bumper and flashed his lights.
i pulled over and waited patiently for him to give me his speech. I didn't expect much since I was just moving along with traffic at about 80 - 85 MPH. He asked how fast I was going and I replied "I guess 75 MPH". He said over 105. I almost took a sh*t right on my seat. Since I had my digital display on to display speed I know I never hit 90 MPH. I gave him my license and figured it was better not to pick a fight.

he came back and gave me a 30+ ticket, 100 MPH in a 70 zone. So I asked where I was doing 105, and he replied coming off the palmetto.

I explained that I never even was on the palmetto since I came from the Gratigny Expressway. he said " well, somewhere on the ramp, have a nice day".

I really felt like telling him how I felt, that I wish him to get diarreah for a week and that he is a kaniving lying SOB that f*cked off all day and needed a ticket to complete his quota at night. And once he noticed I was displeased he pulled out his window tint meter to check for illegal tint and could not get me.... But I just shut up and drove on.

I really respect law enforcement, but what a disgrace. What a dispiceable SOB.

What can I do to make this lying ***** show his not existing proof? He stated "PACECLOCK"

As you can see I AM PISSED....

Fight the SOB in court. Get an attorney, I'd rather pay my attorney fees and not give the cop the satisfaction. He probably wouldn't even show and here in MI if the officer doesn't show the ticket is dismissed. Sorry to hear about your experience, you're not alone. There are many good police officers out there, unfortunately I seem to have run into most of the jerks.

I view traffic citations as a normal part of the cost of ownership of owning a Porsche.

I usually hate these kinds of threads and rarely look in on them. Usually a bunch of whining.
This is one I would fight. Sounds like you got one of the bad apples. Good luck!

I'm in agreement with getting a lawyer.

I don't know the area you live--

If the Trooper Paced you (I assume that is what Paceclock is referring to), why didn't he stop you immediately? The money spent on a Lawyer may help keep your ticket from being Reckless Driving--I don't know about that area, but in most 30mph over is an automatic Reckless driving with lots of points and possible DL suspension!!

I hadn't received a ticket in 10 years before I bought my first S4. In 4 months I got 3 speeding tickets.
I now own a V1

That's what they are hoping you will do.
Personally, I would rather contest any moving citation. To each his own.

I guess it depends on your disposable income.
Cheers

Yeah, and it would have been OK by me if he would have picked me out of the bunch for having the "flashiest" car and given me a 15 - 20 MPH ticket. We where all going a bit too fast. but to tag me with a 100 MPH ticket is just wrong.

I have been going over a 100 miles before, but not moving in heavy traffic. I was not even changing lanes. I never even passed anyone. This guy either made a grave mistake or is a real *****.

Sounds like something that'd happen to me. At a 928 gathering earlier this year, we agreed that we have radar detectors so the cops can beep us when they want to talk. I bet all high-perf car owners get the same treatment.

You've got to go to court. A PITA but that's the way it works. I'll bet it ain't a cheap ticket.

Search the legal websites from your legislature, district courts and state law library to figure out the process. Maybe a Fl lawyer will chime in.

Up here one trick is to ask for a "formal written record of the charges" at the arraignment. This makes the cop and attorney do some work and if it's not at the pre-trial hearing, you walk. Each state is different.

Write down everything he said to show his lack of firm knowledge of where you came from and consult an attorney.

That won't help if some lazy trooper that just woke up from his 3 hour nap under the overpass needs to accelerate his tired beat up Camaro to 95 MPH to catch up to a "fancy" Porsche. And then calculates in his confused mind that I must have been going 105 MPH.

I would love to pick this guys math skills in court...

I just wanted to get out of the car and tell him what I thought, but then I would probably not ba able to post right now...
