Unhappy Bulb chart where?

I thought I had some smarts, but I can't find a bulb chart for by 85S. It was not in the owners handbook, 928 International lists the bulbs by Porsche PN, If they are in the Service Manual, I can't find them, Nichols does not have the list on his web site that I found, a search listing 'bulbs' turned up upteen pages (I quit looking at 8).

Some wag will say the bulb number is on the bulb. I will answer, how do I know some garage monkey long in the cars past didn't put in the right bulb.

So, what I wanted to do was go shopping and pick up a limited supply of light bulbs (lamps if you prefer) just to have them around, but I can't find a list. Does anybody have one handy, or can they direct me to the place where the listings are. Since, with this post, I am giving up, and will just pick up two packages of 1186 for the brake lights and at least one other rear light, instead of spending a few good dollars stocking up.

You sure they're not listed in the Owner's Manual? Most of the common ones (tail lights, turn signals, etc.) should be in there.

If you have the PET program, they are all listed in there.

Heh, I ran into the same problem. No bulb chart in the owners manual, WSM, online. The PET will give you a Porsche PN and the wattages. The reference book at Kragans had the 928 and seemed OK.

Perhaps this will help...it's the Sylvania bulb replacement guide. You should be able to find almost all of these at your local auto parts store.

Does anyone have a comprehensive list of LED bulb listing to change out ALL bulbs on the 928? Specifically looking for 1978 and 1979.

You might try this:

Keep in mind, these LED bulbs are constantly going out of production and are replaced with newer version with different names and model numbers but the list in ther pdf will get you started.

I've not seen a euro 8" but if this looks like the bulb retainer (held in the reflector by a spring clip) look here:

These fanless H4 units have worked well for me. I have since put Lasfit bulbs of different types on all of my cars.

Lasfit has apparently mostly abandoned Amazon so I ordered directly from their website, recently.
