A few of you may remember the picnic we held in the Detroit area back in 2003 that included a scenic drive to Hell, Michigan. About 25-30 928s were there, including Rennlisters from the East Coast and as far south as Georgia.

A local shark owner is pleased to welcome our shark community to his 160 year old farm for the 2005 Fresh Water Shark Frenzy. This will be a picnic for owners, spouse and children on Sunday, July 24, 2005. We will plan a scenic country road drive through rural Manchester, Michigan. There's room for hiking, swimming and all sorts of fun for the family.

If you're interested in attending, please email Dennis (Mr. Weissach) at sueden21@comcast.net. There's no cost involved, although we'll ask that each person/family bring their own beverages and a plate to pass. "Meat" foods will be provided.

One question Dave.....Does admission include a tour of the Garage Mahall?.............

It's a bit of a hike from where the picnic will be, but it might not be too far out of the way if you'll be crossing into Detroit from Windsor. Either way it's up to Dennis since it's his shrine you'll be visiting.

Bill, Garage Mahall is closed in the summer months because the waterfall/pond are out on the deck along with the banana trees and palms so basically its reduced to a regular old garage until about October then its Margaritaville again. I hope you and your wife can make it cause you probly are the only one that truly understands Red/Green! By the way how are things up at the possum lodge?

Hey Dennis. The possum lodge is still standing, thank god for duct tape. Good to hear from you Dennis, I haven't heard from my work if my vacation has been approved yet. I see him this Thursday so I'm hoping to attend...Looking forward to having a couple of brews with you guys in Michigan again. Sorry to hear about the Garage Mahall I was looking forward to seeing it. I'll send you an email by this weekend if I can make it down. It will be a HOOT...........Bill

I remember that day! Anyone know if Stan is gonna show up yet?
I don't know if Rosy will be back together yet.... Lotsa parts are here, more needs to be sent out, and others have yet to arrive back. And a question about an application has arisen.....Here it is the 5th, I've got 19 days to send, receive, and assemble, then test, before I can make the trip in Rosy.

I doubt it'll happen.....

I don't know if I'll be able to make it or not. The company I work for is threatening to send me out west sometime this month and that may be the weekend. Hopefully I'll find out soon and be able to let you know for sure. If I do make it I'll be bringing my wife and daughter.

Things are looking good. Looks like I have the time off so I can attend. Penny, the love of my life however will not be able to attend due to a previous commitment( her fluffy club), so my son and I,if the people at the border will let us cross, will attend. If it isn't too much trouble could a map be made available and a list of motels/hotels in the area? The Best Western we stayed at in 2003 was good, is it near?............Bill

Not really near. Somewhere around Ann Arbor will probably be your best bet. Things to do and relatively cheap rooms. Manchester is about 15-20 minutes from the Ann Arbor area. You can probably priceline a hotel in the area for under $50 US (but then with the exchange rate it's almost 1:1).

Also, don 't know if it's convenient for you or not, but avoid coming through Port Huron/Sarnia - SLOW! Best bet is through Winsor across the bridge. But be warned - there is a lot of construction in the area and so there are a number of posted detours. Kind of a big mess.
