Default Engine is back in!

With the help of Andrew, Dennis, Mark, Jim and the wonderful moral support from Stan, the engine is back in!

Motor mounts are bolted up, as is the bell-housing, starter, alternator, and power steering pump.

Here's a few pics. I covered the heads with shrink-wrap since the valve covers won't be here until Tuesday, and I learned my lesson when that washer slipped down into the oil pan.

Wow! A spotless 928 engine. Nice to see.

You've sure paid YOUR dues.. maybe John D. should start giving out lifetime membershps to people who go through the fire as you have done? You're certainly going to act as a wealth of information going forward!

LOL

Thanks, everyone. We certainly made a LOT of progress yesterday. My valve covers and intake will arrive on Tuesday along with a new 7-way vaccum fitting to replace the old fittings that fell apart.

It's possible that I might be able to turn the key this coming week.

I think it would be worthy of a web cam broadcast

Your my hero. Hope to see you at SITM if your shark is done and I can make it. Already i'm getting the hugh guilt treatment about going instead of looking for a new house.

It would be awesome to see Big Dave firing it up "live" for the first time. Maybe a little stressful for him, but all the tuned in knowlegeable Rennlisters could chip in advice and those more like me - morale support. I like it - I bet Red would have the know-how.

C'mon Ron,
Tell her you can look for a "new" house, every day or weekend of the rest of the year! Izzit REALLY that important to have the "new" one, RIGHT this day/hour/minute/second?!?!??!!!!????

Life comes atcha once, and if you ain't gonna choose it, yer gonna loose it! ( Now, who was that artist who coined that phrase? )

Even though I don't have the option this year to attend, ( Daughter's graduation, now THAT doesn't happen every year.... ) I've been the last three years, and am going to really miss the festivities and scenery. Dagnabbit!

All I can say, is I'm GLAD I have the wif I have; she's PUSHING me to hurry up and get the parts to repair Rosy! AND, she bought Rosy for me! What a gal!
