I see, those statements were from a different thread entirely I was wondering what I was missing, probably not much regardless.

I think John.. was simply stating interesting data and somehow unfortunately now the thread has <again> been turned into a pissing match ... THIS TIME not by John. John, start a new thread, post results, and let's all admire your work.

Guys
First of all I commend anyone who pushes the envelope of 928 development....either strokers (done), S/C (getting close) or turbos (work in progress).... Strokers are proven reliable power, the devek white car and anderson race car have 1000's of miles in race conditons + more on the street. S/C's seem to be reliable & so far have been very good. Turbos are another great idea, but are much more rare and therefore less proven. Not to dismiss any individuals work....everyone who takes on a task in pressurizing a 928 deserves respect! In a few years there will be more options available for increased power in 928's than ever before! Personally I would like to see an ultimate 928....a 6.5L closed deck twin turbo or S/C car...but that would be very expensive....but should make silly power...& torch transmissions-drivelines...but man would it be cool....1000 rwhp would sure be sweet...finally shut up those damm supra drivers! Just need someone to pony up some mad $$$ + a 928 to make it happen!

I did not mean to impose on John's thread - he requested G-Force numbers as a better tool to measure performance than dyno numbers on a different thread, (and while I do not agree), I took my G-force out to get some of the same for John.
And I came up the same, and I posted it. What's the problem? Its all good.
If you look, you will see that I have said "turbocharging and supercharging both work" on Many threads over several years. They do both work. Whoever says that we think that SC is the only way to go had better not be talking about me.
I DO think, and have said, SC is a quicker, simpler, less complicated install and I believe a better choice for the 928. I stand by that too. And that is not picking on John. TAMMON, who has done 3 TC installs, said that a SC install is quicker and simpler to do too.
Please be careful when comparing these products - John's and mine and Tim's. They are in different stages of development. John's is a one-of installation that has never been replicated. IMHO - he is still working it out. I do not know - and John can answer - whether he has finalized designs on componant parts and ordered up quantity buys of finished parts yet, whether he has a finished installation manual yet, etc.
When it is Johns' product vs mine, you are NOT comparing two kits. You are comparing a finished product with a one-of prototype.
That's why I can't complain about John's product - he isn't DONE.

Man, has this thread gone down the *hitter fast! I have always been given a hard time by some of the guys on this board and I am not referring to Carl. I respect his work but I will always stand by the turbos seperiority on the same car. I think it is great, we now have some data to compare. My kit is not as far out in "vaporware" land as everybody on here thinks. I have had two of the intercoolers made, from a print that I created for the Callaway and the Goldmember. These were built by a professional intercooler producer. The fuel system components are documents as is the program for the hot wire conversion...if anybody wants the program they will have to pay me $$ for it. The manifolds and throttle body feed pipe are jigged up and with one phone call I can have them reproduced. As I stated before, I wanted to re-route the plumbing under the car for more ground clearance and that is the next step, then I simply have to make jigs for all the plumbing such that it can be reproduced. Easy as pie....I order the mandrel bends and some hose and fit it all up nice and tidy. It is a weekend job.
What else is in the works? How about a "low-cost" twin turbo option, intercooled 6-7 psig boost with stock fuel injection, AFM and a rising rate regulator? I can smell cutting out a four figure cost on elimination of those items alone. Have you priced a hot wire, calibrator, 8 new Bosch fuel injectors and adjustable regulator lately? People want lower cost and I know I can provide it. Then we will see what the real cost differential would be on a setup....i.e. apple to apple.
For the record, I don't know where people get this $10,000 number from anyway. The number I gave for the full blown (excuse the pun) setup with hot wire, etc. was $9,300. Then people go and say, oh I can buy a supercharger kit for $5,000 and it will outperform it as they point to performance figures for Carl's full blown race car vs. my Callaway before I touched it. The irony here is they refer to the performance of two setups that aren't even the basis for the discussion....just another attempt to completely mislead the community. You guys know who you are and it is no surprise to me that these individuals hide behind the work of others, you see they have not done anything themselves...then they don't even have the decency to introduce themselves at shows because they hide behind a Rennlist screen name and want to keep it that way. See what I mean about stretching the facts? It appears like we now have the facts. You can all make your own judgements based on the facts.
I'll run some more numbers, I think this car can mow down that 13.6 number I posted here just by doing a few more runs....though the gas I consume doing so might approach the cost to just roll it onto the dyno

Jim, if you dig deep enough you will find the posts. I see no value in doing so as my time is sparce right now and it would be counter productive. I stand by the performance of my car and I would be more than happy to show you the setup in person should you ever come through the Cincinnati area. That holds true for any of the rest of the people on this board as well.

Hey, what's everybody arguing about here? Time to go for a ride and use of the last few MM of my old rear tires before the new ones get installed. Oh, and I don't look at peak HP as much as low-end and mid-range torque.
