The dyno charts can allow comparison of HP in the relevant RPM ranges for upshifting that Carl spoke of - also a good measurement. It can start getting subjective when interpreting the curve within the range, though.
0-60 is a super measurement as it is something that we can relate to. It shows what the HP used in the power curve can actually accomplish. Many runs are necessary due to driver/launch variation, but it is an interesting measure. The amount of launch variation does matter, however.
1/4 mile ditto with 0-60.
Lastly, though, subjective measures should apply as the wants of drivers vary. Some examples: Quietness/Noisiness, consistency, smoothness of acceleration, perceived lag, tame in traffic, easy to work on, future upgrades available, cost.
Dynos are a good means of measuring, but how the modification enhances the driving experience is what matters most. Subjective stuff matters and I have no idea how the whole enchilada can possibly be evaluated without taking actual test drives.

Time to clear some things up here. The White GT will be back as good as new. So technically I have only killed one GT. Please remember people the White GT was in garage fire, not a wreck. I know some people crossed themselves when I mentioned I was interested in the GT on e-bay and I don't blame them. I have since turned my attention to a few other 928's out there including another GT. Wish it, I mean me luck.

I'm not trying to "neener neener". It's just that it's going to be a rare occasion when you would be able to get all the Sharks with different induction systems together so coming up with a baseline way of doing comparisons seems like a good idea. The other Forums, aspecially the TT guys talk about the same problem.

Problem free replication, reliability and affordability is more important to me than the specific one time performance of a science project. But that is just me.....

Hey as I see it it is simple. All these guys told me 2 years ago I could never make the power with the Callaway while pointing to a human calculator that was "always right". I proved them very wrong by going to the dynojet (regardless of the lying, misleading and comparing an apple to an orange). Now they make unsubstantiated claims about my setup and turbocharging in general pointing to the supercharger as the only way to go on a 928, even though several others are appling this superior technology to the shark. I now bring documented proof to the table showing that the same vehicle (with an Auto 3-spd) can and will outrun an equal 5-spd CS boosted car when the turbos are applied. Ask youself, since the NA version of the 5-spd and AT show a delta of 0.5 seconds in the 1/4 mile, isn't it fair to say this delta will be at least 0.5 seconds with boost? I say it would be slightly more. Go ahead, bring the dyno chart and keep it in your glovebox, then you can pull it out when the race is over and say "see, I made more peak power so I win" even though you finished 2nd. Hey, we all love competition, don't we? Those who know me well know I am not a cheat, liar or a thief. The numbers I posted here are straight off the G-tech and were done by the book, even though there are lots of hills here in KY.
On another post a guy asked which method of force feeding was better and I gave the answer, pased on performance. It is the same answer you will get from others, so don't think it is just me. You guys don't like that answer and I don't really care. My statements are based on mathematical facts, not opinions. I now bring data to the table to support those statements. Don't like it? Tough. I will stand by my statements that the CS is not the setup to put on an 80 3-spd automatic for the reasons I posted many moons ago. Is the turbo setup more involved? Of couse it is. But it is better.
I'm glad you guys like me better now than you did as John. or John..

What posts are you referring to in these 2 statements?
