Cool with the polished letters, is that clear coated after polishing?
What do you use to polish of the Black Chrome from the letters?

Randy
We need to find some used intakes and valve covers for each MY. Then, we could pay you for the covering then send you ours after the swap at our garage. This would limit the time that the Sharks are down and would keep you very busy I am guessing. Your work looks incredible and I would love to have both the valve covers and intakes done but I dont want to take my shark off the road during shipping and your required turnaround time.

I ground the letters down with a smal angle grinder and med grade prep pads. They are not mirror finish but look very good. I may get some polishing tools down the road but to be honest I think they look fine like this and I won't have to charge $100 because it does not take me as long as polishing will.

And the idea of Cross shipping sounds great if we can get our hands on an extra intake. I have a feeling we will have some very busy winters though.

Yes we cleared over the letters. That way the aluminum will keep it's shine. Also makes it a breeze to clean later.

It makes a LOT of sense to get them set up with a set of intakes, so they can coat them as the owner requests, then get the new intake, then send back their old intake as a core charge. That would really speed up the process for a lot of people...

Thanks for all the nice comments, Ill keep a lookout for a set of valve covers and intake to buy. I guess we will need early and late models.

I have already cleared this with John D. And I am a member.

P.S. I told John D that Randy would have his membership next week.

And for rennlist members there is no charge for the script polishing if you opt for clear coat. So for $160 you are set.

Same Price... It is about the same amount of work. Nad that includes the oil filler neck.
