I think we are going to try and make it this year. If the wives are willing and the bow dont break we should be there.

The powder coater where I live says he will strip clean the S4 intake/valve covers (they are currently painted) using a "chemical" bath; does this sound right? I'm not sure if this could affect longevity on the inside since all that would be masked off and only the ouside covered in powder? The insides of the covers/intake looks like non-coated cast aluminium anyway? Thanks!

Yeah, You do not need to coat the inside. And as long as the chemical bath is aluminum safe you will be fine. Some cleaners can harm aluminum but he should know what not to use.
