There should be a 24 hour mourning period. Poor Mikes already answering questions about body parts of his recently deceased.

True but he has also found another one that will make him much happier. It is important that he gets the capital together quick so that he won't miss out on it.

Mike:

HAIR-RAISING story! Reading about the right-left-right maneuvers and kid falling in your path, I was expecting the worst. The tree did a number on your car, and vice versa, but no one was hurt. WHEW!

I'm really at a loss for words.... quite stunned. Sorry this had to happen to you Mike. Or to anyone for that matter. As has been said... At least everyone (including that stupid *** kid) made it through this ok. Cars can be replaced people can't. Hope your shark hunt will be short one and you can get back into the drivers seat again, soon. Let me know if I can help, seriously.

Hi Mike,

I just now saw your post on Rennlist and I am so sorry to hear of your accident. I am glad you and your girlfriend are OK, but I am sad to see the photos of your 928. I know you have put a lot of heart and soul into it and I am truly sorry.

It it always hard to be able to say the right words that can help in situations like this. The only thing I can tell you that may help is that I have seen this happen many times before and in almost all cases the 928ers have come out in the long run with an even better 928 than they had before. As we all know they can be replaced, lives can't.

We are thinking of you and let us know if we can help in any way.

If this happened to me, I'd make a voodoo doll of that kid and start poking needles in it. His karma if f'ed.

Mike:

Judging by that tree, you are both pretty lucky--but you know that inside. That said, its hard to feel lucky after something like this happens. Let me know if you need to bend an ear on insurance issues. You would be shocked how much better insurance companies respond to an attorney--you've given a lot of time to the 928 cause (especially mine) and I'm happy to help out.

Sorry to hear that Mike. Accidents hurt even if your okay after dealing with insurances, police and the carnage of your shark. But nobody was killed so that's the important thing. Its a speed bump (or tree in this case) on the road of life, and hopefully there will be a silver lining in the end....Like an S4 with a supercharger.

If you had it all over to do again, knowing what you know now.

Would you do the same? Or just go straight for the kid knowing he'll run leaving you to wreck your car and possibly die in it and never help?

Just another reason to yell obsentities out the window at skaters.

Hey there is the guy with 7 sharks for a donor?

That 79 cab with a super charger? Think about it.

Mike;

So sorry dude, you did the right thing, even though the punk *** kid needs his *** beat.

I'm shocked that it was only a 45 mph hit. I would have thought the shark was able to withstand more than that... I hit a large tree in a 951 once going around 40-ish. Nowhere as a bad.

Take Seth's advice and bargin hard. And go get checked out medically, even if you don't hurt today. Whiplash can take weeks or months to show up.

Peace.

Scott
