Hey, i hear you! actually, that mustang is pretty trick, but i think the solid rear axle is a real issue on road course handling, but it does fly on the straights
I think its fun getting both types of platforms to work well. sure surprises a lot of folks at the track, and im sure at the drags!
I wonder how fast andersons car would be at the drags? i think mark A. should go to some ontario nights drag ricer rocket event.
I think both cars qualify as classics in my book. best of their breeds!
have fun!

in the end, if i could drive a cup car, i would!!

You can't polish a turd. I have a lot of money proving that theory, and my Stang is a blast to drive, Straight, bor about 10 minutes, then I come home and take the Vette or the 928 out... ![Stick Out Tongue](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)

There are a couple of street legal 911 turbos running low 10's and high 9's though.
I figured you had to be up above 800whp. Good looking machine. I guess the steering wheel is there to get you on and off the track. LOL
Interesting hobby. Thanks for sharing.

Hmm 480+rwhp in a 2700?lb car.....assuming he didn't smoke his clutch he should run very quick times....I would guess mid to high 11's?
I remember hearing and old setup of the devek white car ran 12.4 until and smoked the clutch!

thats pretty cool.
bet that is the same shape of things for the holbert car. even though the holbert car is more like the 390ish hp vs the Z06 at 405 , but the holbert car is only 2700lbs or so. Looks also like the 60-100 times are a little better with the Z06, but the Holbert car could go to this top quartermile speed in only 3rd gear all the way!
still hard to believe this is a stock Zo6. is it? sure seems quick for 3500lbs and 405hp. Ive raced a BUNCH of T1 vets that are prepped for racing, and they are pretty even with me at the lighter weight in most of my races (ie SCCA T1 vs ITE or SpeedGT when one has shown up)
i just did some 60-100 runs yesterday, and im still at around 6 seconds . some at 5.8 and some at 6.2. of course, this is 3rd gear only, so there is a gearing disadvantage as going 0-100, i would stay in a 20% more torque 2nd up to 75mph and then a shift to third. dont know how much that would help, but probably at least .5 seconds.
Ill have to go to the dyno to get an update on how the engine has been aging.
did a compression test too , and its still a very even 185 psi per hole.
i bet still at 325rear wheel hp.

I'll be honest with you I have gone up against several C5 Z06 vettes in my turbo some were slightly modified and there is no way they were that fast. My car easily out accelerated them way into the 130mph range. I would say at tops a stock Z06 could do 60-100mph in 7 seconds or more. I tried useing my Gtech meter the other day and could not find an open road that would allow me to really test it out. I had a couple of runs but I need to start on a shoulder where they had cut groves in a line so if you fall asleep you hear the bumping before you hit the trees. I got 2 really bad starts 0-60 was a slow 4.95 seconds and I hit 100 in 11.65 seconds with a a quater in 12.8? seconds and a speed of 109 mph. I also lifted as I hit 90 due to a nasty turn in the road My car is easily much faster but considering the conditions it was not a bad run. The meter said I was at 390 hp which is low, so obviously I had a bad run. I need to find a road that is more condusive to testing

Anthony, absolutely correct. The 911 is a very light car, the average 3.2l Carrera can do 0-60 that would make most of our heads spin. It takes a LOT of beef to get another 1,000lbs up to 60. Of course .... many of us have that and then some
