My G-tech in my friends Viper GTS has read as high as .85g accelerating, which is hard on the street due to traction problems in that car... It should run around a 12.0 1/4 with slicks....I estimate it to have about 390rwhp in a 3400lb car...so its pretty close weight wise to a 928....I can't imagine what a 450+whp 928 would drive like....that must be awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need a second job to help pay for an S/C!!

Thats very very fast!!

the 320-335 rear wheel Hp Holbert car does 5.6-5.8 seconds.

my old 293 rear wheel hp part euro 5 liter did 6.5ish

If you did 4 seconds 60-100, you could potentially be 3.5 seconds 0-60

That is sick. A 1.598 60' time plus a sub 10 sec 1/4 on 275/40 18 tires with a rear wheel drive car is FAST. 22 psi boost and those tiers must make for a wild ride. There is definitely quite a bit of driver skill involved there, not just pure power.

Then again, the old questions: How fast do you want to go? How much $$$$$$$$$ do you have?

That car is like my old modified Ninja ZX-11. 10.25 in the 1/4 stock, but no idea after mods. Way too fast, but too much fun to care.

About as far as you can get and still call it a street car. I like speed but you have to draw the line between a street machine and a race/drag car. The beauty of these cars is how they can deliver lots of power and still be enjoyable to drive. IMO when you take it that far you might as well just turn it into a full blown racer and keep it off the street.

from road and track, i didnt see those cars being that fast as you listed below.

the M3 looks slower, but who knows why.
the 03 Zo6 is just 400hp and is 3200lbs. with my 400hp racer, im also 500lbs lighter and run in the mid 5 second range. Ive seen a lot of supercar in the 0-100mph tests, where you can pull out 60-100 and get around 5 seconds or so BEST for most of the real fast cars.

where did these times come from?

Look at the M3 vs Z06 comparison in road and track a few years ago. I still have the issue and ill check.

03 Cobra = 4.343
911tt= 4.350
03 Zo6= 4.785
2002 M3= 7.527 ..... Since the 100mph data line is the last one on the M3 my guess he was letting up at the time...hence the longer 60-100 time.

Same here. Once you compromise driveabilty, it's a racecar.

Top of the line GTECH PRO RR with the PASS software.

Mark, the data is down loaded from the GTECH forums. It is just that, DATA, DATA collected by the GTECH with out any say from a human operator except hitting the "start" button when the car is stopped. The accelerometers self calibrate so the unit compensates for any variations in mounting angles.
Take it for what its worth, but in 3 runs on the drag strip i found it to be with in 1mph and 1/10th of a sec of the official time slip.
there are some seriously fast cars out there folks!
I like to think mine is include to some degree now

I do hate to say it, although the 928 is a very fast car. My 3.6T would make the stock GTS look like it is going backwards from 60-130. The only way you will out accelerate most turbos is if you catch the driver off boost in a straight line. Sorry
I hear that, and mine and my dad's Mustang would make a lightly modded 3.6 T look like it was going backwards...

My Stang does 60-150 in about 7 seconds.

I love the 91-94 T 964s, one day, one day...

Sorry for the pun, but how many ponies the pony car pumping out. Haven't had te 3.6 above 140 yet.I need to play with my Gtech and get some documented numbers. 7 seconds is faster than CGT. What type of stang is it and I am asuming she is heavily modified.

I'm with Abby, Anthony ... open her up a bit man ... of course ... DISCLAIMER: "do it on a track, speed kills, and going over the posted speed limit will immediately kill you and all your passengers and every other road user in America .... unless you are a Police officer in which case it is safe for toddlers to play in the road as you go by because you are a trained professional and ..."
