I love the disclaimer

Unfortunatly around here it is hard to find an open road to let these things fly. Even the tracks are tough to carry speeds above 140 around here. Maybe at the Glenn or Pocono but Lime rock is to short.

I once drove from St Gallen Switzerland to Rotterdamn Holland in under 7 hours including stops with an average speed of 155mph. Now that was fun.

Anthony, time for a little road trip on the 3rd of June, come meet us at Sharks in the Mountains and I will personally buy you a beer and give you a "Ranger Fred" badge for being so nice and keeping your speeds safe for all of us ... well, I'm serious about the beer and SITM part.

Of course, and it was perfectly SAFE, because over there, speed works differently. I like to call that "German Speed" ... you know, 155mph in Germany is equivalent to about USmph 35 ..... all depends on the "speed conversion rate" of the day.

You know I was talking this over with my wife and I really would like to make it. Here sister is due out from IL that week and she doesn't have much time to see here. Of course I must be there too. I am trying to get her to switch weekends and if I do I will take you up on the beer. It would be great to meet everyone and see all those beautiful Sharks and nice roads.

I hate to go off aon a tangent, but now that you say it I must.

I drove straight through that day stopping for gas and food only. When we had arrived at the Rotterdhamn Hilton they parked my Beautiful black Porsche out front for all to see. This is back in the 80's and my freind and I were young. He was recently on the cover of GQ magazine and I was skinny. We went and got our room and decided to grab a beer in the bar which was overlooking my car.

To our amazement they were having a beer sponsored event featuring the "Sweedish Bikini Team" Remember that from the 80's? These girls were gorgeous and built. They saw us pull up in the car and as usual they were all over my freind in a second. We had a beer which went down like water. Had a second while sitting and talking to all these gorgeous women. Suddenly like a rubber band being released under full tension it hit us. I had 1 girl on each arm trying to take me up to the room. My freind who is a total sled dog and wouldn't pass an oportunity like this looked at me and said he had to go to bed. The girls were all for it and we both just said NO we need sleep. The only other time I was this drained was at a track event at LRP were we ran 3 1 hour laps in 100+ degree temps in one day and I lost 10 pounds in water weight and even that wasn't so bad.

I am still kicking myself to this day for not taking advantage of that one but man I was shot after driving that long at those speeds.

I guess it was better than getting there and not being able to do anything.

Anthony, I know this from experience! I also lived in Europe during the 80's.

I never took a 7 hour mega speed transport as you did, however I did a lot of 3-4 hour runs in the 160's in a buddies 84 Euro 928 that gave me the addiction to the 928.. The driver takes the brunt of the hit, although as a passenger you feel it too. The intensity level and constant G's just wear you down.

Although the babe's would have been great, that trip sounds like a great memory in itself, and it sounds like it whipped you like some great sex would have anyway!

You got that right. Too bad it wasn't 2 seperate experiances. Although something told me that if I would have followed through I never would have been able to enjoy sex again. It would have been impossible to top these girls and they seemed OH SO EAGER TO PLEASE. At least the cars get better and faster.

This would be one special Mustang. I have owned a few and I know from experience anything over 120 in a Mustang is an experience. Care to share what makes this colt go so fast or do I have to post how much faster my jeep is?

My Stang does 60-150 in about 7 seconds.

I love the 91-94 T 964s, one day, one day...

My experience with stangs (new Cobra) is that at about 90 you start getting a bit worried. At 120 you're praying and are VERY scared. Never been above that. An absolute beast, so very possibly could run that fast, but SCARY.

Default My Stang...

Come on guys, Stangs aren't that damn bad... I have about 30 Gs in it to go fast, and it has better brakes than my 928...

The larger than stock wing is VERY functional... I had it to about 193 calculated rpm/tire/gear ratio/tranny ratio.

here is a link to the website it was featured on when the setup was new, it has long tubes and a different blower going on it as soon as I get off my *** and go work on it.

I know this is a Porsche site, but don't hate on me too much please?
