Chumming for Sharks in Lake Tahoe !
OK,
For those folks that attended Sharktoberfest and can remember past the cocktail hour, I promised to get some information about holding a very informal get together in Tahoe. There seemed to be a lot of interest then, so I have gotten together with a Casino on the North Shore and have this huge information package.
What I invision is to arrive on Friday night and have a coctail party, either private or in one of the bars. Friday night dinner on your own. Saturday a 100 mile drive mid morning with either a reception at our house after the drive or if not to expensive, a reception back at the Casino. They would like the cars displayed at least a couple of hours (car show) and we would be on the electronic display on the highway. Sat night would be dinner, either a buffet or order off the menu, which ever is the least expensive. Sun you could either be on your own or for those that would like a Brunch to die for, we could meet up at the Lone Eagle Grill on the lake (really) for their Buffet.
Realize it is Tahoe and it will be slightly more expensive than most of the events for lodging.
I have a sponsor for some drinks and appetizers and will need help for some other give aways but the event will be rather low key. If you want your wife to come to any event this will be the one. 4 casinos within 2 blocks.
So what I'm asking for is a show of hands on those of you that are seriously interested. Not possibles or maybe's., although your comments are always welcome, just folk that think they will come. The hotel will hold rooms only until 35 days before the event and I do not want to get stuck with the contract guarantee if no one shows up.
The dates available for the "Tahoe Freshwater Frenzie" are
June 10-11-12
June 17-18-19
Thats all for now. I don't know if I'll be back on the board until Mon. so all replies welcome.

Tim, you're a man of his word! As I said before you can count me in. PM me and let me know what I can do. Us thin air mountain types can show some of our low altitude cousins what mountain roads were really meant for. You sure all that snow in your front yard will be gone by then? Just kidding. Can't wait. ALTIUTDE WITH ATTITUDE !!!!!

Hummm .. thinking cap ON .... If I can swing a deal on G-Man's "old" 928 in Carson City, slide down through Silver City for a little Turquise Shopping and a quick visit to the Edison Record Player Museum again, then over to Reno and stay at #2 Son's condo, drink some beers, then up to his job at Tahoe .... well it sounds like a plan. Only glitch is a possible trip to Europe in that same timeframe. In the meantime, you are on my calendar!
Cheers,
Dave and Diane

EXCELLENT. You can count on me and I'm sure many others. Lake Tahoe is among the most beautiful places on Earth and hardly 200 miles from the Bay Area.
We've got another great California event brewing:
SHARKS IN THE LAKE
(well, not literally)
or whatever you want to call it, Tim.
