So those little feet things that sit under the intake to support the Throttle body on an L-Jet or Early LH - does anyone have any pics of how they sit on the posts in the V of the block?
I'm thinking its just some rubber feet, but I keep thinking they are tied in somehow.
I'm putting an LH-Euro *big* throttlebody on this 4.5L I have - and these little pieces are irritating me.

They screw in, and what you see above the rubber part is also below the rubber part .... assuming your rubber is still there. it's a T bolt and another T bolt with a rubber grommet inbetween.

Well... uh, The block I have is a 4.5, so it has metal tabs in those posts in the V. I only have the Throttle body from England. No rubber.

That is the part. "bonded rubber buffer" ..... It's the same part on all years afaik. From '78 (supported the CIS throttle body) through S4+ (supports airbox)

Brendon, those things seprerate after they dry up. I replaced them on th 82 when I had the intakes off. Just grab a channel lock or something and twist them out of the block from the remaining cap head. May as well spring for a couple more as the fuel damper that sits at the front of the engine requires them as well.

Cam towers are on now though. No pic up yet. Going back over tomarrow to put the powdercoated intake and TB on.
Then the front accessories, etc.
Gotta make the suge baffle for the oil pan.
Front supension and brakes are all assembled in the garage. DAMN those assemblies are heavy. And they are mostly aluminum.
I'll get a pic of the engine with the towers on. Rumor has it Porsche wanted it flat to look like a flat engine. I'm not a believer.

Fuel damper won't *exactly* be as you would remember. 89 fuel rails (same spacing) NOt quite sure how I'll tie them in, but....
