Mostly I think we're looking for a well-known individual to act as an escrow agent--receive the parts, take delivery of the cashier's check, and forward payment...
I had suggested that perhaps 928 Int'l would consider performing such a service, but it would certainly be much easier to drive to Oceanside from Carmel Valley than Anaheim.

I'm bonded and insured as a California Insurance Agent, so my monetary responsibilities are regulated by the California Department of Insurance.
I'm actually serious here, (don't see an emoticon for that) and will gladly help out any way I can in receipt, delivery, or escrowing.

Mark Anderson of 928 International has kindly agreed to receive the kit for Brian, and to receive the cashier's check for me. Brian will pick the kit up at 928 International from Mark, still in the box, and Mark will forward me the cashier's check. Brendan, Brian felt you were a but far for him, but thank you so much
THANK YOU MARK ANDERSON

Actually, Brenden is probably about 45 minutes closer, but it doesn't really matter to me. I can pick up Bilsteins and Eibachs at the same time. It's going to be a Merry Christmas after all...

Wait, 45 minutes? Do you already have a SC on your car?

It usually takes me over an hour, and that was in the 928. As we all know, its dependant on traffic, but these guys are only open during the week, so I try to go up in the early afternoon or late morning.
I'm still very interested in helping out/learning with your process. What kind of time frame were your thinking? VERY soon, or closer to after the holidays?

Depends. My wife is due with our first baby Dec. 15th, so my schedule is going to be a little frantic at some point. Which would argue for getting this done some weekend BEFORE the 15th. I will actually probably defer the suspension work until after 1Q04, since it will necessitate more labor plus a 4 wheel alignment afterwards. I already have some guilt about spending $5k that almost certainly could be used more productively elsewhere. So the suspension will wait until there's another good month (or series of months) at work.
What I'm most worried about is getting all the work done myself (damaging something in the process), then the car won't run or runs poorly (creating more problems), then I've got to have it towed up to Precision for fixing/tuning (read: much more $$), and then having something that is less reliable afterwards. Such a scenario would be much more obvious to the wife and I'm after a certain amount of stealth here.
I realize this is overblown given the success that others have had, but it's a healthy paranoia: I think we each have some experience with getting in over our heads in an attempt to save on labor cost, only to find out that it became much more expensive as a result.
Biggest risk, IMHO, is somehow creating a persistant lean condition, but I guess the AFM is insurance against unknowingly doing so.

He'll just go smog in Alpine or in El Centro with some 20s. Like all of those "Turbo" Hondas are smogged every year in San DIego and LA? I think not. Other tune-heads figured it out somehow, so I assume there's some way.
