Cool car, I liked it better befor the graphics. I think it lost some of its sinister beauty when you added those squiglies. Great project.

^^^^^^
+1 Preferred it w/o graphics...or maybe just more subtle graphics would work better.

That shouldn't be too difficult. The engineering shop has the design on CAD, they could cut some and I could mail em to you guys. I'll get back to you in the next day or so.

I agree, it also kinda makes the car look less wide, if you know what I mean...

I'll change it in time to come.

Pierre,
So awesome. What engine mods are you running again? What tire sizes? It looks like the rear is a fair bit wider than the front (ala my setup)... do you notice much understeer? Overheating the fronts?

I might could help you out in the future with the graphics. I'm an industrial designer and have competent skills in photoshop and illustrator to design a layout for the car if you have some sponsors and a style you would like to work with. Also have a vinyl cutter. No time right now, but if you are interested I could help out in the future.

Mark,

Engine is close to stock, just polished heads and a dual open exhaust with a balancer pipe here and there and two resornators in the rear. Made 330hp at the fly last time we had it on the dyno. I have plans for a 928motorsports supercharger, but I just wanted to finish the project first, get the car on track and have a bit of fun in the meantime.

I'm running Hoosier 335 rear and 245 fronts, and I have a fairly trick suspension in there. It's pretty neutral, but there is some understeer on the exit of tight corners. I do need a bit more negative camber in front, but we're at max, so maybe I'll just go for wider rubber in front, i dunno yet. In the meantime I'm running 2.4bar pressures in front and steering on the throttle, but that's gonna screw up tyres in the long run. We will have some custom struts made in furture.

It's early days, but I think this car has a lot of potential.

Thanks for the offer on the graphics, i might just take you up on that in future.

Cheers,
Pierre.

With that large a discrepancy in front to rear tire size I am surprised you don't have A LOT of understeer. When the sizes are the same front and rear a 928 has a MUCH MORE BALANCED feel! I have 12" slicks front and rear and LOVE the way the car balances now!

Yup, raced the car this past weekend and it understeered on the exit of slow tight corners. It's chewing front tyres. I'll post a little race report if anyone is interested.

Cheers,
Pierre.

Pierre,

Go closer to the same size front and rear and stiffen the rear bar (or loosen the front bar a bit) and you should cure that problem. You could also narrow the rear rubber, but going the other way would be better.

Good luck and keep us posted! I just LOVE your car man!

I have a feeling Pierre is not anxious to get back into reshaping fenders at this time...

There's enough space on the inside to widen the rims to run 295s in front. That's the next step.

Cheers,
Pierre.
