So, I poured myself a tall Jack Daniels and tried to figure how to make the fender brackets, got bored and did this instead -

LOL, maybe I should leave the Porsche alone and go work on my 250Superkart. I need to replace front wheel bearings for the next race...

Pierre: "Yes, I thought of that, but the air diverter and intake ducts in the hood should take care of of splitting the cooling/intake air. Mind you, now that you mention it I think I'll bolt in a 2" flat alumium plate between the radiator and my home-made shroud. That should be more than sufficient."

If i might make a suggestion, use a treated 2" wood plank instead(even better would be several thinner wood planks epoxied together(which is basically what phenolic spacers are). Wood doesn't abosrb heat nearly as much as aluminum does.

On the scoops, what's a naca duct? I know nothing about body stuff.

LOL, Google is da man.

Thanx bro.

PS: Got a big hole in my custom built 4 core radiator today. I was sweating bullets but my radiator guy fixed it for 40 bucks. I love being in 'the business'. LOL.

When i walked up with it he was like, "What's this out of a racecar?"

Hehe.

In the top picture it appears that the front fenders are wider than the rears. Are they or is this an optical illusion? I am living my retirement fantasy through you with the mods on your car. That may be the only time I can afford to tackle something like this.

Optical illusion. The rear fenders & wheel track are much wider than the front. In fact, the rim offset's and setup's been worked out so the inside tyre walls line up. That's what the techies told me to do.

Hi Geir,

I haven't worked on it much, been preoccupied with business stuff and spent whatever free time I had the past few months racing 250 Superkarts. I did work on it this past weekend though, prepping the interior for the roll cage. I've got a flatbed scheduled to pick the car up on Thursday to send it to the shop for the rollcage, headers and exhaust system.

I'll post more pics soon.

Cheers,
Pierre.
