The race went okay-ish. Finished 4th in class with a gear linkage problem. Not too bad I guess, considering it was the first time out.

Here's a bunch of pics from pre-race paddock -

Pierre,

What are the specs on your car? Is there a thread about 928 race cars specifically where I can post some stuff about mine. Stan Shaw has it up on his site too, but it might get more air play here...not that it matters to me, but this is where the 928 fans hang, so some of you guys might be interested in what has been done and changed on Mark Anderson's old racer that I finally have on track again!

Looking forward to more pics and info about your car Pierre!

Best,
James

Make a new thread. There will be plenty of interest.

Way to go Pierre. I love the Fat Bully.

A thread with technical info on all the race cars here would be great.

Today I was prepping the kart I'm racing for the 250 Superkart Association this weekend, but I couldn't help but snap a few pics of of the Bully...

Can't wait till you sell me a kit to use on an S4! To bad we are half a world apart! Not a big fan of the hood, though I am sure it helps you get that last bit out of the motor and probably helps w/ cooling too, but I LOVE the fenders (front and rear) and the rocker extension. Hey, just noticed fat bully is a PRE-S4 car. Will that front end and fender set up work w/ an S4 even???? She looks GREAT!

Love the super kart too! Those things are CRAZY FAST!!!

So I took the car to an open track day on Sunday, mainly to take friends on promised joy-rides, but i also played around with tyre pressures in the front and found some good settings.

Apart from that I wanted to push the car really hard to see what gives. In a way it was the first "endurance" test for Fat Bully. The car took everything in its stride, lap after lap of abuse. 56 laps in total. I'm really happy with it. Nothing broke and I managed to turn some impressive laps with passengers on board. I also let some friends drive it and they all agreed the car is very neutral and well balanced.

Then I agreed to do something I've never done before - take a mate's four year old son around. We strapped him in real tight, the little fella looked so small and fragile in the race seat, he couldn't even see over the dash. I took it easy and on the first lap I looked down at him and asked if he was okay. He didn't answer, just gave me a thumbs-up! Too cute for words. I think he's hooked for life now...

And that was that. Days like this make it all worth it. I'll be racing the car in the local porsche Challenge later this month.

Cheers,
Pierre.

A mate of mine made it for me. Measured and made a drawing and cardboard cut-out and we had it laser-cut from 8mm aircraft grade ally. Cost us about $60. It works sweet.
