Almost 43% own more than one.
928s, like racing, seem to be an addiction cured only by poverty.

Three Wheelin'
For those looking for another, my 79 is going, going.........
I'm unloading the things I don't use in my life. Motorcycles, trumpets, old beer bottles. Damn, I love Ebay.

This is really a sickness. I always say "just looking" then find a way to rationalize getting another one. I think this is my limit, by I said that last year. Aside from the P-cars I have a MBZ450 SLC, (7% 928 - the transmission), and two SUVs. I am trying hard not to look. Deed, deep, inside I'm dreaming of the 85-86 32V 288hp 928s. Don't know why. Always want a GTS, but it has to be red, black or grey seats, 5 speed, and the right time and price. Not anytime soon.
No more space to park. I store some cars at my folks house but my mom is complaining. My dad never complains, heck, he's the one to blame for teaching his sons to love cars. Other than cars I have other collections and interests, so I know I am afflicted. But I have to say each car, regardless if it's the same model, have a different experience to offer.
One day I'd like to own a 993, the last of the air-cooled 911s, and a 1989 G-50 transmission 911. No interest in the 996-on cars at all. This is possible, just given time. Now no one say I've started being a traitor to the 928 community - 928s will always be my true love. On the fantasy side, I'm beginning to like the 12-cylinders cars, like Jag XJS-HE; BMW 850CSi; MBZ 600SEL. Probably never own one; Porsche's the marque. I'll let my brother, the Mercedes nut, take care of it and we'll swap for a week or two.
I'm glad to know I am far from being a nut, with some having 6-10 928s! I salute you! Will any you be at Sharktoberfest?

I would love to have a gutted track car, 5 speed. That would make 3, but one is what I should own. There's enough to do to keep up with with ONE 928. But I am always interested. I wish I could have bought the mint '85 euro 5-speed that I stumbled on a month ago. But a friend of mine has it, and I get to see it and make sure it gets what it needs.
928 is a drug? Seems to be.

Chuck Z.,
Aha!
So you are the one who owns the GREEN MACHINE with THAT INTERIOR.
I'm still looking for flicks of the first 928 I saw while on my first tour in Deutschland.
Dull forest green it was. Glossy but with a dull green paint.
It was a cool fall morning, with moderate clouds and no wind. The sun was rising orange thru the partial cloud cover casting a orange - yellow light on the curbline just outside the #1 Headquarters Building on Nellingen Kaserne. The asphalt was dark from a heavy dew with wisps steam curling up from the warming rays of the rising sun and a low misty fog lay upon the football field just across the road.
I heard her authorative, yet smooth and settled idle before I saw her.
Then ... there she was ... not a drop of moisture on her, parked between two of the large trees' that lined the narrow, German built, street, overhanging limbs stretched protectively over and above her...
You get the picture.... LUST at first sight ... What an ***!
If the idiot who owned her only knew how close he/she came to losing THAT CAR!
