Yeeeeeaaaaaaahhhh Baaaaaaby - 1978 928 in Lime Green Metallic
Remember this one?
Well, its the real deal! Totally original right down to the tires! I spoke with the original owner b/f purchasing the car, he verified the cars authenticity and is a certifiable car nut. I paid a LOT less than they were asking but probably by most standards still too much. Oh well, you know what, I don't care. How many 1978 928's with 1392 actual miles are out there? Only one? This car has to be one of the very last in this condition. A true survivor!
I know, I know..... I'm going to have to replace a bunch of rubber stuff, probably reseal the engine/trans and a lot of other stuff at some point, but what a car! Its like a dream come true. A new 1978 Porsche 928, lime green metallic with crazy opt-art interior and all! I wouldn't have wanted it as much if it were the standard black, silver, red, blue or white. When I stood behind it a few minutes ago listening to it run, I had a flash back to the very first 928 I ever saw while in college!
Hope you guys enjoy the following pics as much as I do.......

Wow, is that one wild and crazy 928! Chuck .... what a great find. You have book-ends, and early and late set of 928s, the best of both worlds. Who ever owned this car must have been a collector, it is in fantastic shape. I'd love to go for a ride in this time machine. Does the radio play tunes only from that era?

WOW! Congratulations. It has to be one the most unique 928s around.
Glad to see it went to a good home. I remember seeing it for sale a while back.
Edit: Can we have have SITM earlier next year? I am really looking forward to seeinfg this car.

yes I would think the original owner who bought it and only drove 1392 miles in 25 years could be considered a car nut ... emphasis on NUT . But what a neat car now !! Big question is , Chuck do you plan to drive it ? Some how I think not .

I likey very much. Really glad to see an old bugger in such pristine condition, as there are way too many basket cases around. That ashtray and cigarette lighter in the console between the rear seats cracks me up. My memory is a bit fuzzy, but were legless six year olds allowed to smoke in 1978?
