Collector car insurance is cheap if you do not daily drive it. Figure $500 for a windshield and who knows what for the hatch glass if you can find one. I wouldn’t do it yourself on either one. Getting them leak free is for the professionals.

And... Not so much. Stitch is apparently a pariah. If I had to guess, I'd say it's because I park in the empty lot across the alley at the back of my house. They very specifically asked where I park it, and the only answer that fit was 'Other unsecured location'.

Oh, well. No harm done. (Other than to my feelings. )

Reuben. Yes, I do. He's the car that caught fire. I just ordered him a new FOE wiring harness from Sean.

So sorry to hear about and see the damage done!

Best wishes on getting the 928 back on the road sooner than later.

Poor Stitch! I'm heading out on an operation "rescue Stitch" mission. Frau needs someone to sit with her indoors and keep her company.

That couldnt have been an easier hit,
the bonus it will look like your driving a new car once you get some fresh glass installed
GL with the repair

Surly someone with a parts car can donate the front and rear glass?

Dang. Isn't this the car that you folded over a front wheel (hitting a curb I think?)
I hope you get it sorted soon.
I have dozens of trees way too close to my home, many of them 70+ foot tall oaks. Every time we get a thunderstorm I "pucker up", if you get my drift...
I would cut several or many of them down, but with that money I could buy one or two nice Porsches, so I'm waiting to do that instead.
Cheers

Yes, Stitch has been through a lot. The driver's rear quarter, the hatch, the driver's door, the passenger front fender, the passenger front suspension, and the passenger door are from four different cars.

But, a year ago he woke up from a two-year sleep and drove from Pennsylvania to Florida and back with only two minor hiccups. He's a trooper, and he'll be back.

And someone less than two hours from me - and less than 30 minutes from my son's house - is parting a couple of cars!

So sad Shawn, but it sounds like you have a line on parts needed for repair - and pretty close to home. Good luck, and I'm sure Stitch will continue to serve you well.
