This version was done by Chip Foose and it incorporates Delahaye, Bugatti and Hispano-Suisse elements:

I reckon Enzo Ferrari got it succinctly right when he said the E-type Jaguar was " The most beautiful car in the world".
I know I wish I still had my 68 roadster, I'd swap my 928S in a heartbeat for an E-type, period.!

This version does not get out much, but when it does... It turns heads!

I love Ferrari 400i. Comes in an automatic to assist my hurting knees
Perfect for carrying me and my grand kids in style
Love the family size, silhouette and styling
I believe one is in my future

^^^ Ferrari 400i is a pretty practical Ferrari! User friendly for sure... ^^^

On the practical side, I just re-purchased this one that I sold 17 22 years ago... It's a sweetheart Carrera 4 that is a former Vasek Polak car.

I think it's already a classic...

Back in the day, the late 60s in fact, when I was in the Air Force, a fellow Navigator of mine had bought a brand new Jaguar XKE Coupe. He was on the base driving on the main road and when he was turning off to the road to the command post an young airman happened to rear end him moderately. It bent every panel on the car - the hood, the front fenders, the roof, the doors, and everything in the rear of course. Styling notwithstanding that turned me off of anything Jaguar. It did not hurt the driver, but it totaled the car. From then on I have felt that any Jaguar is a POS.

The F-type is no POS...and that E could cruise way faster than any contemporary 911..... I can tap a 991 today just right and bend the frame....offset crashes are tough.

I know this is beautiful to some but to me it is way, way over the top...overstyled. The e-type's balance is part of the beauty.

I suppose that a reminder of what this thread is about is necessary... It is about beautiful cars!

Here is a 964 RS NGT MOO3, built by Porsche for Bruce Joelson.

That's tough, maybe that young navigator should have bought himself a Porsche, the same model James Dean had.!
I'm sure that was better built.!

Wow, bunched up undies. It's an opinion not a grudge match.

WOW! Good point. There really is not such thing as the most beautiful car ever built, since beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Period.
