Actually Hiney I do drive, not just sit behind my computer and make up story's. Easy for you to criticize when you're too afraid to even take your car to a track because it might break.
As for the fire, **** happens. It takes a real peon to delight in someones misfortune. God is smiling on you.

Man you nay sayers are killing me!! Since I was there on the day in question, I feel I should say this: You Have No Faith In the Porsche you bought! I was keeping up with them too in my 86.5. Stock! No add on or anything, except about half my interior was missing so I was just a bit lighter than stock. Heirich kept up just like you see in the video, nothing is rigged. Go drive your friggen cars for Pete sake, lower you right foot till the gas pedal goes down no more and see what you find. I was rather suprised myself to find my car hanging with them as well.

Heinrich by the way do you have a copy of that tape of you and I racing?

I find this quite comical. I would expect to read a thread like this on an immature hot-rod site where all people do is flame each other.

I am not thinking of anyone specifically when I say this but, the problem lies between the chair and the computer monitor. Grow up and have some fun.

Yep, they need to go drive their cars. I mean really drive their cars not just cruize around like old ladies!

What you guys don't understand is that Heinreich drives his 928 like a demon with the fires of hell on his tail....most cyclist's aren't that crazy or freak out from the crazed look on the 928 driver's face and may forget to keep their revs optimized. It makes a difference. It would take a death wish to want to pass him on a crooked road (If you know him when he's not behind the wheel...then Heinrich seems absolutely and perfectly normal and would buy you a beer and give you the bra off his Porsche, etc.....but don't try to pass him!). It also may have something to do with how he learned to drive in a country with interesting driving habits and lax speed restrictions.

LMAO!! Harvey that is exactly the way I pictured him. Earlier on the same day he told me it gave him a big smile to see my Red Porsche hanging with him threw the twisties. Like minds I guess! But there was no way I was letting a white 928 run away from what is commonly known the faster colored car! (Red)

I have driven with h many, many times at high speeds, through twisties and up and down I-5. Know his car well. We changed his motor mounts in my garage (after he drove off the ramps). Also spent 2 days helping him with his 1st timing belt job, among other things. He has offered to sell me his car twice. I think his car is faster than a normal S4 but that's where it ends. If I put my grandmother in a Viper and kick her *** in a race, I beat grandma, not the Viper.

I believe calling Tom a Grandma might be going a little too far! He ran the bike up through the gears and revs like he should have. I know because I was slamming through the gears in Helmut as fast as I could hit 6k rpm just to keep up with them. I seriously doubt Grandma can make a bike or car move like that.

Shane,

Tom's not my Grandma and our cars can't keep up with a CBR929RR, sorry. It doesn't make our cars any less. I love the 928 and I drive it hard but it ain't gonna beat most street bikes.

OK, I just D/L'd and watched the tape. My impression is that NEITHER of them were running very hard!

Hey, I ride and drive and love them both. A 928 and serious sport bike are both incredible machines, but are so completely different down to the DNA that to compare them is really pointless. There is really no meaningful comparison that will prove anything to anybody except that both are faster than we should be going on the street.
If I'm out on my bike, I would have to be stupid to race every 18 y.o. in a car that I don't know. I am going to do what I think is safe (enough) and not get sucked into racing on the street. It's all I can do to survive every day out there with soccer moms, cell phones and old people who don't look.

No disrespect to anyone, but if you find yourself racing people on the roads often, you probably need to go to the track.

I am trying to keep my license and not kill myself or anyone else out there. I hope we all share those priorities first.

Don't want to kill you, you're a nice guy, and nowhere did I call you a liar.
If you guys want to state that your cars can keep up with a 929 then good for you and your cars.
