This automatic transmission came from a 1986 928 that had been wrecked. The trans has approximately 4K miles on it.
The trans was completely overhauled by Greg Brown at Precision Motorwerks in Anaheim for around $6K. It was built for higher performance as the car it was fitted in had a twinscrew supercharger setup. The trans was performing flawlessly at the time of the accident.
$3500. Shipping is not included. The trans is still attached to the torque tube and will be removed before shipping. If you want to come pick it up you can have the TT for free.
This is a steal!
All genuine Mercedes/Porsche pieces, which have gone up in price (considerably) since this transmission was rebuilt.
With all of the "updates" performed.
If your '85/'86 (or even you '87/'88) transmission is getting weak...you should be all over this!
It just doesn't get any better than this!

Thanks! Hopefully it can help someone out. I'm sure once it's gone I will acquire another 928 that will need it!
Where's Seth? This would be perfect for the Red Witch (assuming you are still working on the tranny).
Hi Nate! I have already buttoned up the A28.07 and put it back in the Red Witch. However...I looked LONG and HARD at this one.
Unfortunately, a careless driver took out my Explorer last week. All available funds are going for a down payment on a replacement vehicle. No Red Witch toys for the moment.
This sounds like a perfect match for the 6.5 stroker motor in my silver car (The Jupiter 2). The current tranny can't seem to handle it when I really get on it. No LSD, but I had bought a separate LSD to put in at some point. However, this one is already set up and all there!!!
When properly done, even under much higher HP-Torque these autos last a long time with minimal maintenance, just fluid-filter changes and flex plate checks. Keep in mind its the same internals that Benz used FOREVER in the big SEL-SEC class with 300hp-336 torque that made those 2 ton monsters push 155mph....
Another consideration for the new owner is Doc can set up the LSD tighter, if it was intended for a track-autocross car. Doc did that on the rebuild of my racer..HUGE improvement
