welp after a few parts delays, I got the intake parts done and started to install them, fresh parts all cleaned up,
new rebuilt injectors new fuel hoses, fresh PC.
I had to stop working around 2 pm as its so hot in the sun that the tools are too hot to touch,
and the sun is doing a number on my skin

Working out under the sun is not for the weak hearted- equally so for the middle of winter...so high marks on your work Sir.
PS is that a BF109 in your image stack?

I have been doing rework
on the leaking condenser it’s back in and I will be leak testing it.
The engine bay is almost done still waiting for the exhaust pipes to come back from the PC outfit,
it’s been too humid for them to paint the coating on.
and too hot to be slinging adhesive on the carpets,
though I did finish the tool tray upper shelf covering
wheels are on
next is gonna be to finish carpets and a blower motor refresh and CE panel cleaning
speedo gear swap
I will post more pictures in a few days

Well its been a while since I put more progress pictures in, I removed the seats these are really light seats, removed the seat rails and sanded and painted them.
I used Malco leather cleaner, then sprayed down with vinegar and water, then wiped dry.
Then I used Skidmoors restoration creme on the leather and let them bake in the sun.
I did the rest of the interior as well,
the doors are finished in these pictures.
I am getting ready to install the carpet, and just got a new blower motor to rehab that part.
Also a picture of the finished engine bay.
The Skidmoors leather creme really does a great job of softening the leather,
and then it has a very nice supple glow to it after the stuff is buffed off, also a nice aroma.

well its done,
now comes the debugging,
not too many things to chase down but more than I want.
I got the car on its wheels and took it for a drive to settle the front rear A arm clamps then tightened them.
turns out the front wheels were also loose that made it feel like the car had badly flat spotted tires..
anyway it was a drive around the block.
After proper torquing they tires feel great it does need an alignment though.
The engine pulls good, I cleaned out the crumbling cat that was plugging things,
the cat back rear pipes have been Ceracoated so they are baking off to cure that coating.
The trans shifts really nice, the brakes will need to bed in and the front end will need to drop a bit .
The interior came out really nice, most of the systems seem to work OK and the squawk list has about 14 items to look at.
Overall Im happy with the results of the time and cash to restore this 928,
it needs the diamonds to be fine polished now.

Howdy Constantine, thanks for your kind words,
Im not sure yet where this beauty is going,
this ole buzzard is kinda fun to drive,
when everything is refreshed,
its like driving an old new 928.
BUT my next rescue is in the trailer behind the black car.
My forgotten Elfenbein Perlganz needs to be removed from the trailer,
and some service done to it ,
and put on the road.
