I've never heard or seen a transmission failure as described.

We will check central tube on both ends. Thanx a lot to you Greg and Bob 😉

What to check ? Clamps ?

put a socket on the crank bolt,
hold the torque converter with a screwdriver,
and have someone turn the crank see if you can hold it

The shaft is good.

The link from flexplate to TC is good. We can’t turn the crank shaft if we block the TC.

Videos of drive shaft and TC spinning when RPM increases. All seem to be very good.

About the cooler, we don’t shunt it. But when the engine is warm, cooler and both lines are hot. So ATF circulates inside cooler lines.

Failure in primary pump or TC ? A stuck valve somewhere ?

At this point, baring something wrong with the valve body after the rebuild, correcting any possible failure mode requires removing the transmission to disassemble and inspect.

I think it's the next step ... Remove of transmission.
What are the MB parts numbers for front pump and torque converter ? (GTS 1995).

How to check a failure of primary pump and TC ?

UPDATE :

Front pump : 1402700097 (Porsche and MB reference)
TC : 7222500602 or 7222500802 or 7222500902 (Porsche reference). No MB reference ? Which one ?

NEW UPDATE :

My transmission number is 3004074. Regarding the PET, my TC is 7222500602.
7222500602 is twice as expensive than 7222500902. Why ? Where is the difference ?

It’s easier to drop the rear suspension first then drop the Tt and transaxle as a unit
just remove the Bowden cable housing , anchor bolt at the front bell before you drop the TT
put a strap underneath the trans and it will hold it while the crossmember is removed installed
strap go to the sway bar

You’re right 😉

For us, no problem to remove the transmission. It’s easy with a car lift and a good WSM 😀

Now we have to find the root cause of my failure ... all seem to be good. We have only very small stripes inside the pump. See pictures.

How to check pump and torque converter ?

What else to check in the transmission ?

thank you very much for your help 😊

Fabien

All K1 discs are between 1.93 mm and 2.07 mm. Most of them are under 2.00 mm.

We have to change them 😀 I will also change primary pump. It has stripes inside and on rear side.

Do you know where to find full K1 K2 and B3 kits, and pump at best price ? Thank you

While it’s apart send the valve body to Greg and let him go through it order any rebuild parts from him as well

Default UPDATE with B3

Few days ago, we have checked all parts of transmission. All pinions are like new.

K1 friction inner discs are used with burnt spots on steel discs.
B3 friction inner discs are dead.

Next step. Change of primary pump (140 270 009 7), K1 friction inner discs (126 272 062 5) and K1 steel discs, B3 friction inner discs (126 272 092 5), gaskets and seals (126 270 530 0).

The problem is to find K1 steel discs. They are no longer available in Mercedes / Porsche .
Where to find them ? I need three steel discs of 3.5 mm (126 272 502 6) and one disc of 4.0 mm (126 272 512 6).

Dead B3 inner discs.

We have received spare parts, so today we have worked 8 hours on my transmission.

We will continue on next saturday.
