Should result in bright light. I suspect, from your description of your problem, that this will not occur and we can move on, from here.

Greg, just tested and got nothing. Tested positive on Air Conditioning slot just to make sure it wasn't my light. Air Conditioning slot works. Not LH slot.

BTW, 30 position on LH slot lit up the light. Actually, didn't mean to do that, just put it in the wrong slot after coming back from trying the AC.

Mrmerlin - air filter is now right side up (embarrassing)

Landseer - A pic of the alarm jumped (at least one of them, I assume) will be in the next picture. Also, I did change the strainer and clean the gas tank before my son put on the fuel filter and pump. That was the first things we did.

928Noobie - I was thinking that's what fell off when I was cleaning then. I replaced those last night.

I hope you didn't flip over a used air filter.

Lol. No. Brand new. I did think it would be fun to call a parts store and ask for a used oil filter.🤣

Since I have no power to the LH relay, and schematics show pin 86 going to the alternator, would a bad alternator be a problem with starting? I have been keeping the battery charged with a battery tender.

You've got to follow the testing sequence exactly, for me to help.
Forget all the other diversions....I could care less which way your air filter faces....or if you even have an air filter, right now.

You have no power or ground on "85" or "86"?
That's damn near impossible, unless you've got a beaver living behind your relay board!

Ken if Greg is gonna help you,
it would be beneficial if you can add in as much detail to every step of testing that you make,
so things are crystal clear.
NOTE poorly worded or details left out of testing protocol,
can make the next step of diagnosis difficult for the people that are assisting you.

Sorry Greg. I'm zoned into you only now. No light showing when I attached alligator clip to brown cluster bolt and pointer on 85. Picture attached. Also attached clip to red wire on top of CE panel and pointer on 86. No light. I will send that pic as well. I also cranked while attached like you previously stated.

The faint light you may see in the first picture is from the camera flash.
