Congrats on the acquisition! I've seen this car a number of times. It is truly a BEAST!.
I can't believe that Darien didn't sell it to me!

I understand. I have missed a bunch of cars that I wanted and chased for years. It comes with the turf.

Hopefully the cars I'm collecting will continue to go to events and I'll keep them in circulation and not just sitting being pretty. Like Steve and the U-Boat, Darien and Louie have "visitation rights" and be able to drive their former car in the future. In addition to getting a great car I think that Darien is going to be a good friend.

That is one of the things that is so great about this community. I can send Darien payment in full and not even have a tiny question if the car is what he says it is.

Trust is inherent, I don't even have to drive it!

Dave, WOW! Congratulations!

We know Louie well, the man and his car. It is one heck of a machine. Horsepower only a part of the story, Louie went through everything. And it is perfectly comfortable on the street. I got to drive it back from town with Louie one evening on our deer-infested island. It behaved just like a 928 and then you realized you were only using the first 1/4" of the throttle...

Let me know if you need a copilot, most of our spring/summer activities have been oddly canceled.

Well I for one am sorry to see it leave the DFW area. But also glad to see it move on to someone who can appreciate the work, dedication and expert skill that went into creating the beast.

Same as the other DFW crew, sad to see it go but it couldn't ask for a better home to go to. Congrats man, you are going to love this car.

Guys,

Thanks for the enthusiasm and posting those vids of the Dyno runs... I'd never seen the 2009 one from behind... gives me goosebumps!
"If you are going to swing a hammer, swing a big one!"

Steve,

Epic "Road Trip" darn right! Finally get to meet the rest of the DFW Texas gang! Can't wait! Darien and I are going to co-ordinate the pick up to include a cars-n-coffee visit.

Here is a shot of some of Louie's exhaust system. A mere dual 3"setup.

I was there in person standing behind Louie's car during that dyno run in 2009. Let me tell you: it was VERY impressive!
I'm glad that you and Darien were able to close the deal. See you at a DFW breakfast soon.
