When you buy used gear, somtimes you can expect the oddest ****. Always look closely!
Really?? This is only a 13-cent M6x1.0x12mm bolt. FFS. Someone, at some point thought to bring up a normal bolt here, and this passed inspection of a vendor.
Then thought to check the rest since this one had been out.
12 of the remaining 15 were not tight...much less any loctite holding them in. The few others were fairly tight but no loctite.
One other bolt was a torx fastener as well.
They were also marked “bare ready for paint”. They have a silver sati
n aluminum looking paint all over em all. Gotta deal with that now too.
The “special” bolt had no paint on it. It was super clean, fresh even.
I believe you can change the title of this thread to:
"Beware of buying used anything".
Yes it is true that with a used part you need to rely on the seller to inspect prior to shipping but just because its new and in a Porsche box is no guarantee in itself. We have seen many defective parts come to us from Porsche. I'd like to think that the seller will stand behind the error and make it right.

My point is not about people selling high quality used pieces, like you guys strive to do.
The problem has changed. Before Ebay, junk parts used to be thrown away. Now people list and sell their junk.
