I made some progress on the new shop !

And on the 928 !

After tightening the rear bearings, I finally lowered the car on its wheels !
Damn it looks good !

ça passe au poil de cul !

I'm now working on positionning the oil cooler.
Bozozoku style ^^

I still have a thousand stuff to do... but I'm getting closer to the next drive !

Made a little keychain for the new shop door... I'll do another one for the 928 !

Nice work. Tough looking rear end on the car. How do you like your hoist. I like how compact it is however have been looking at a clear center version. Only has I thought it may be better for dropping an engine or trans. However they are a lot wider and bulkier. Have would you use yours to drop a trans or engine?

I removed the 928's transmission on mine ! It worked great.
For the engine it's be the same, if you position the car correctly you can drop the whole engine with subframe !

Still working on the new shop...

I also repaired the rear calipers that were seized. Nothing major!

A bit of rust after the square cut seal...

Done, that will do it for the 11Km I have to drive to the new shop.

The wheels are turning perfectly, the new seal retract the piston very well making them free wheel a lot better.
Even if your calipers aren't seized, I would consider doing it if your brakes are slightly dragging.

I fount out that my cold start setting were trash... Impossible to start it yesterday !
Today I tweaked it a bit and it started

I then went back to the new shop to cut the isolation !
Nothing is build square... what a pain !

I know it's a mess ^^

The little window is for feeding the animal in the man cave?

I was busy too, engine holder and crane are complete. The new workdesk is also here.

Hello !

No news for a while... I wan't in vacations though !
Remember the shop ?
This is it now !

I love it ! It feels so good to be in !

I started to bring some equipment in but I'll have to buy more !

OK, some stuff I can't figure where to put yet...

Got a new 3D resin printer, I should be able to print a plenum mold for the 928 with it !

And a TIG !

Test fitting the mini inside the shop, plenty of rooml around it and to open the doors ! The 928 will fit just fine !

About shop equiment, I still have a few things to buy and receive ! I can't wait ! But i'm still waiting on the electricity company to tell me how much it is to have the 400V Tri phase current for the compressor...

About the 928, I levelled it and installed the Panamera wheels ! It'll need thinner spacers in the back so the wheels don't rub at all... or more camber... we'll see !

OK, I'm not proud of this... But it'll work just fine to drive to the new shop !

Did a trackday yesterday, with the mini...
There was a 928 S4, very very fast ! Both in the corners and in the straight ! I can't wait to have mine on track !
I'll be back there in two weeks for a 928 GTS that'll be there too !
And in May, with my new car hopefully but not the 928...

OK we're back to 928 stuff ^^I got another 928 in to check for size... it fits like a glove ! And I'll be able to open both doors wide !
The sunroof was crap too, so I fixed it...

I almost got all my stuff in !

It's still a mess, but I'm getting there !
I have no idea where i'll put my CNC routeur and the air compressor... I'll find a way

I can't wait to have my car in there !

It's alive !

OK, so... It's not going to get to the shop by road, it's too loud, and not finished enough... so I'll flat bed it to the shop once the red 928 is gone.

But, it's a lot better than last time I drove it !
Suspensions are a lot tighter now, even with them not aligned properly !
Steering felt light and responsive even without power steering !

Bad point, the engine is far from tuned right, especially for cold starts... it's a pain to start. And once it's started, it's a pain because idle is way too high.
I really have to add an idle control valve...

So, the shop is ready and I started to wok there everyday !

Feels so nice !

I started buying equipments too.

i got a 3D scanner today, it will save me a lot of time, room and money !
Scanning the part of the car relevent to the thing I'm trying to make, then all prototyping is done on the computer !

i also got a parts washing fountain, and order a big CNC router, designed for aluminum cutting. I couldn't get a real milling machine, too expensive, and way too big ! So the router was a nice compromise.

got some argon to practice my welding skills !

New stickers !

Big ones too :

I love it !

About the red 928, i fixed the headlights :

And removed all the overspray on the windows !

After :

I added the sunroof seals, but I think the sunroof motor didn't like that... without seals, no problem, but with the seals it can barely move... Any idea ?
I closed the sunroof so the seal can compress a bit.

I'm also struggling with the rear quarter window trims... I think I'll have to remove the whole window to fit them...

parts washer works great !

Then I said to myself screw that and bought a boat !

OK, it's not mine ^^

Looks like a good "work life balance"!
I change the windows on my 22 feet sailboat and have real problems with the black sticky automobile seal. Same as the black grease at the blower bolt from the underside in the 928.
