The engine no. on the '87 is M28/41 81H 00236. The engine also has the cast oil filler neck, not the normal S4 plastic one. The VIN ends in 0469 and has the folding rear wing.
The engine block no. on the stroker in my '90 GT is from an '87 and has number M28/41 81H 00460. Possibly a squirter too, but didn't visually confirm it. Marc Thomas built the engine internals. I used that block because the cyl walls were thicker than those on the GT block.
